Supporting the health of our coconut farmers is an important part of strengthening farming communities.

A total of 70 coconut farmers from Unidad, Barobo, Surigao del Sur, received essential medicines as part of the continuing commitment to their health and well-being. The initiative aims to provide access to basic medicines that can help address common health concerns and support farmers in carrying out their daily livelihood.

By caring for the welfare of our farmers, we continue to invest in healthier, more resilient, and productive coconut farming communities.

As part of its continuing commitment to the welfare of coconut farmers, a medicine distribution program was conducted in "San Isidro, Lianga, Surigao del Sur".

A total of "26 coconut farmers" received medicine kits containing essential healthcare supplies. The initiative aims to support their health and well-being by providing access to basic medicines, recognizing that healthy farmers are vital to sustaining productive farms and resilient farming communities.

The Medicine Distribution Program under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) was conducted by the Health and Medical Team on July 8, 2026, in Brgy. San Roque, San Miguel. A total of 54 coconut farmers received essential medicines as part of the program's health support services.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho)
Academic Year 2026–2027

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office Caraga (CHED Caraga) is now accepting applications for the Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho) for Academic Year 2026–2027.

This scholarship program provides a financial assistance package to qualified and deserving undergraduate students who are duly registered coconut farmers in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) or their dependents.

Deadline of Submission: August 31, 2026

Who can apply?
✅ Duly registered coconut farmers in the NCFRS or their dependents
✅ Filipino citizens
✅ Graduating Senior High School students, Senior High School graduates, ALS graduates, or currently enrolled college students meeting the prescribed academic requirements
✅ Applicants with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80%
✅ Applicants whose parents have a combined annual gross income not exceeding ₱300,000.00

Only one qualified family member may be awarded at a time.

Delivering care beyond the mission💙

Following the medical missions conducted last year, Distribution of Medicine activities were carried out across Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Norte:

📍 Brgy. Mt. Carmel, Bayugan City, ADS
📍 Brgy. Mahanub, Gigaquit, SDN
📍 Brgy. Magtangale, San Francisco, SDN
📍 Brgy. San Jose, Mainit, SDN

A total of 237 Coconut Farmers already received over-the-counter medicines such as Paracetamol, Multivitamins, Cetirizine and Vitamin B Complex.

✔️Hangtod ₱40,000 alang sa 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 o pagka-admit sa ospital.

✔️Hangtod ₱5,000 alang sa 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 (konsulta, laboratoryo, diagnostic procedures, ug uban pa).

✔️Hangtod ₱5,000 alang sa 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 medical needs o mga kinahanglanon human sa pagpahospital.

👉Mga coconut farmers nga rehistrado sa National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS).
👉Ilang kwalipikadong dependents (kinahanglan nga na declare sila nga dependent sa NCFRS ) :
✔️Legal nga Asawa or Live-in-Partner
✔️Anak nga 20 y,o-paubos
✔️Anak nga 21 y.o-pataas pero considered nga PWD (with PWD I.D)

✔️Rehistrado sa NCFRS (NCFRS Registered and CFIDP Eligible, kinahanglan usab nga FULLY VERIFIED)
✔️Moadto sa PCA office aron ma-verify ang eligibility.
✔️Magpahimo sa mga dokumento ug guarantee letter kung gikinahanglan sa ospital.

CFIDP Shared Processing Facility (SPF) Inspection | June 9, 2026

An inspection was conducted on June 9, 2026, at selected beneficiary cooperatives under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) Shared Processing Facility (SPF) Project implemented by the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech). The inspection team was headed by Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag, Department Manager II of the CFIDP National Program Management Office (NPMO), and was joined by representatives from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Regional and Provincial Offices, the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Agusan del Norte, the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Santiago, Jabonga, and Placer, the Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and PhilMech.

The facilities inspected were:
🥥 White Copra Processing Facility – Jagupit Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Brgy. Jagupit, Santiago, Surigao del Norte
🥥 Integrated Coco Coir, Coco Peat, and Geo Net Processing Facility – Mabini United Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Brgy. Mabini, Placer, Surigao del Norte
🥥 Coco Water Processing Facility – Libas Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Brgy. Libas, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte

The activity aimed to assess the status and operational readiness of the facilities to ensure their effective implementation and long-term sustainability.
