‎🌱 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗼, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲! 🌿

‎The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mahagnao, together with the passionate youth of our community, proudly conducted a 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 today, Sunday, January 18, 2026, to nurture our environment and promote ecological stewardship. Spearheaded by SK Chairperson Jimber C. Cañega and the dedicated SK Council, the team planted Artabotrys hexapetalus (Climbing Ylang-Ylang) and Shorea polysperma (Tanguile or Dark Red Philippine Mahogany); both chosen for their beauty, resilience, and contribution to biodiversity.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mahagnao with the youths as they celebrate the 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 on August 23, 2025, Saturday, held at Brgy. Mahagnao, Burauen, Leyte, Covered Court.

The program commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Burauen Hymn.

Afterwards, the youth enthusiastically participated in a game of Trip to Jerusalem, dancing to the beat of the music and freezing when it stopped. Ultimately, the remaining ten participants were declared winners.

Next, lunch was generously prepared by the SK Council to cater the youth, who thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Continuing the series of games, the Kabataan joined a lively Bring Me Challenge, where each participant received school supplies as prizes. This was followed by the Longest Line game, which featured four group members competing with creativity and teamwork.

Subsequently, a 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was held, showcasing the youth’s artistic talents and meaningful interpretations through their artwork.

In addition, the Kabataan took part in an exciting Basketball Tournament, open to players aged 17 and below, which drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

Following the tournament, a virtual 𝐓𝐢𝐤𝐓𝐨𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 was launched, with the audience cheering for their favorite performance.

Soon after, a 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 took place, where each participant presented a song piece that the youth enjoyed and even sang along to.

To highlight the event, cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the various activities, bringing joy and recognition to their efforts.

Finally, the event concluded with a memorable photo opportunity featuring the SK officials and the Kabataan.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mahagnao will hold an activity 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 to celebrate the National Youth day.

Moreover, we are encouraging all the youths in the barangay to attend and participate in this celebration. Your presence will be much appreciated!

Guidelines for the competition:

Moreover, this was joined by the Brgy. Captain, Hon. Bienvinido M. Suplente together with the basketball players who received the awards.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || The 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 held at Barangay Mahagnao, Thursday, August 14, 2025.

In the 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇, Team Caanislagan got 72 points while Team Hibunawan got 70 points. This made 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻 bagged the Tournament Champion while Team Hibunawan awarded as second-place.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || The 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 held at Barangay Mahagnao, Thursday, August 14, 2025.

In the 𝟑𝐑𝐃-𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐎𝐅𝐅, Team Balao got 59 points while Team Logsongan got 64 points. This made 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 the winners.
Nevertheless, Jael Paza is regarded as the Best Player of the Game, player from Logsongan.
