⁨📷⁩ ⁨LOOK || Alpha Company, 70IB Opens Sustained Warfighting Evaluation and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) 2026

Norzagaray, Bulacan – The Alpha Company, 70th Infantry (Matapat at Matatag) Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, formally commenced its Sustained Warfighting Evaluation and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) 2026 on 01 June 2026 at the Headquarters Alpha Company, Ipo Dam, Brgy. San Mateo, Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The opening ceremony marked the start of a series of training and evaluation activities aimed at enhancing the operational readiness, military proficiency, and professional competence of participating personnel. The program serves as a platform to strengthen the soldiers’ warfighting capabilities and reinforce the core values and standards expected of every member of the Philippine Army.

As part of the training, lectures on NCO Leadership, Human Rights, and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) were conducted to provide participants with a deeper understanding of effective leadership, ethical military conduct, and the importance of upholding human rights and the rule of law in the performance of their duties.

The conduct of SWEEP 2026 underscores the commitment of the 70th Infantry Battalion to continuously develop disciplined, competent, and mission-ready soldiers capable of addressing current and emerging security challenges while remaining steadfast in serving the people and securing the land.⁩

⁨📷⁩ ⁨LOOK || 70IB Supports ROTC Cadets Through Team Building and Basic Survival Training in Mt. Arayat

Arayat, Pampanga – The Charlie Company, 70th Infantry (Matapat at Matatag) Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, in collaboration with the 3rd Sandigan Company, 7th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, CMOR, PA, successfully supported the conduct of a Team Building Activity and Basic Survival Training for the ROTC Cadets of La Consolacion College and City College of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan from 29 May 2026 at Mt. Arayat and Headquarters Charlie Company, Brgy. San Juan Baño, Arayat, Pampanga.

The activity provided cadets with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in basic survival techniques, including fire-making using bamboo, which enhanced their resourcefulness, adaptability, and confidence in outdoor environments. Participants also underwent Basic Arnis Training, where they learned fundamental self-defense skills, situational awareness, coordination, and discipline—essential qualities of future leaders and responsible citizens.

The program culminated with a Closing and Awarding Ceremony recognizing the cadets’ active participation, teamwork, and commitment throughout the training. The successful conduct of the activity strengthened the partnership between the military and academic institutions while fostering leadership, resilience, patriotism, and preparedness among the youth.

The 70th Infantry Battalion remains steadfast in supporting youth development initiatives that contribute to nation-building and the formation of responsible and capable future leaders.⁩

⁨📷⁩ ⁨LOOK || 70IB Participates in Ongoing Brigada Eskwela 2026 Activities Across Pampanga and Bulacan

DOÑA REMEDIOS TRINIDAD, Bulacan – The 70th Infantry (Matapat at Matatag) Battalion, Philippine Army, under the leadership of LTC RYAN JOSEPH S CAYTON INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, is actively participating in the ongoing Brigada Eskwela 2026 activities in various schools throughout Pampanga and Bulacan.

Anchored on the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the activity brings together teachers, school personnel, parents, students, barangay officials, civic organizations, and members of the Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity in a collective effort to prepare public schools for the opening of classes.

As part of the nationwide initiative spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd), personnel of the 70IB continue to render manpower assistance and participate in various school maintenance, cleaning, repair, and improvement activities, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism and community cooperation.

The Battalion’s participation reflects the Philippine Army’s steadfast commitment to nation-building by supporting programs that promote quality education, safe learning environments, and stronger partnerships between government institutions and local communities.

With Brigada Eskwela activities still ongoing, the 70IB remains committed to working alongside stakeholders in ensuring that schools are prepared, safe, and conducive to learning for the upcoming school year. Through its continued involvement in community development initiatives, the Battalion helps foster unity, empower future generations, and contribute to sustainable peace and development within its area of responsibility.⁩
