𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’ | The Brigade Inspector General (BIG), COLONEL RODEL V PANGILINAN GSC (CE) PA together with his team from the 52nd Engineer (Kaayadan) Brigade, Philippine Army conducted inspection to the Engineer Support (Kabis-ay) Company, 52nd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army at Camp Jacinto Tangco, Maluko, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon on May 26, 2026.

The inspection primarily focused on the unit’s readiness for missions and operations, discipline and professionalism of personnel, administrative records and documents, logistics and equipment accountability, security preparedness, and compliance with policies, directives, and standards from higher headquarters.

During his talk to the troops, COL PANGILINAN emphasized the importance of continuous training and the transition of junior non-commissioned officers (NCOs) to assume higher responsibilities as senior NCOs approach retirement, particularly within a highly specialized unit where technical operator skills are heavily utilized.

This publication serves as a reflection of the unit’s continuous commitment to mission accomplishment, community partnership, and dedicated public service.

Throughout the past quarters, the unit actively participated in various operational support activities, civil-military engagements, and community-based initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with local government units, partner agencies, and other stakeholders. On May 9, 2026, The Engineer Support KABIS-AY Company, 52nd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army, successfully conducted a Guest Lecture on Military Livelihood Education held at Camp Jacinto Tangco, Brgy. Maluko, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, featuring Mr. Fedilito Agot, owner of Farmside Marketing & Poultry Farm, as the resource speaker.

The lecture focused on Egg Laying Production and provided valuable knowledge and practical insights to the participating personnel regarding sustainable livelihood opportunities through poultry farming. The discussion covered topics on what layer farming is, the different kinds of chicken breeds, the advantages and benefits of layer farming, how to start a layer business, proper management of a layer farm business, the comparison of layer farming with other livestock farming, and basic tips in venturing into layer farming.

The activity aimed to equip personnel with additional knowledge and skills that may help them establish productive and sustainable livelihood opportunities in the future. The sharing of expertise and experiences by Mr. Agot inspired the ESC personnel to explore poultry farming as a practical source of income and self-sufficiency.

52nd Engineer Brigade Commander Conducts Unit Visit to ESC, Reinforces Mission Priorities

On May 2, 2026, BGEN FREDERICK A ANCHETA PA, the 25th Commander of 52nd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army, together with his wife, Ms. Tezel T. Ancheta, conducted a significant unit visit to the ENGINEER SUPPORT (KABIS-AY) COMPANY, 52EBde, PA to engage directly with personnel and reinforce the Brigade's strategic direction.

During the visit, BGEN ANCHETA administered a "Talk to Troops," to the Team KABIS-AY under the leadership of CPT MC COLUMBUS F CATAYLO (CE) PA, Commanding Officer serving as a platform to convey vital command guidance and boost the morale of the men and women of the unit. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of discipline and professional excellence as the unit takes on increasing responsibilities in the region.

The commander highlighted the unit’s recent transition toward a more focused mission framework, emphasizing the ensuring all engineering efforts directly support the Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) priorities. Maintaining the ability to mobilize equipment and skilled personnel immediately for regional development projects and continuing the ESC’s essential role in providing technical support and equipment maintenance for line units like the 512th, 534th, and 544th Engineer Battalions.

The activity included an informative briefing that showcased the ESC’s recent accomplishments in supporting infrastructure in Agusan del Norte. BGEN ANCHETA praised the unit for being among the first to react to new operational directives, proving their readiness to serve the Caraga region.

The visit concluded with a focus on welfare and morale, reaffirming the leadership's commitment to the troops as they continue to build peace and progress through the "Bayanihan" spirit.

RETRIEVAL OPERATION CONDUCTED

On 24 April 2026, a HOWO dump truck that had come from a quarry in Barangay Minsoro, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon and was en route to Barangay Alae, Bukidnon to deliver sand encountered an accident.

While traveling, the dump truck reportedly lost its brakes and fell off the roadside into a ravine.

Concerned civilians immediately reported the incident to the Engineer Support Company (ESC). Upon the approval of our Commanding Officer, CPT MC COLUMBUS F CATAYLO (CE) PA, the ESC promptly conducted a retrieval operation to recover the accident-involved dump truck.

This operation highlights the unit’s readiness and commitment to respond to emergencies and support the community whenever needed.
