Today, students of Northern Bukidnon State College actively participated in a meaningful tree planting activity held at Barangay Damilag Tree Park, where a total of 35 trees were successfully planted. The activity was conducted in partnership with the Barangay Damilag Council and the Sangguniang Kabataan Council as part of a shared commitment to environmental protection, climate action, and community development.
The tree planting initiative served not only as an environmental activity but also as a symbol of unity, responsibility, and collective action toward preserving nature for future generations. Through the participation and cooperation of students, local officials, and youth leaders, the event highlighted the importance of caring for the environment and promoting sustainable practices within the community.
By planting 35 trees, the participants contributed to efforts in reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and the improvement of local green spaces. The activity also encouraged environmental awareness among the youth and strengthened the partnership between educational institutions and local government units in creating programs that benefit both the community and the environment.
This initiative reflects the dedication of all participating sectors in building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for Barangay Damilag and beyond.
