Aabot sa higit isa at kalahating kilo ng pinaghihinalaang shabu ang nakumpiska mula sa lalaking suspek sa drug-bust operation na inilunsad ng Dauis PNP sa Purok-6, Barangay. Dao, Dauis, Bohol, Huwebes, Pebrero 1, 2024.

Sa pangunguna ni PLt Thomas Zen B Cheung, hepe ng Dauis Municipal Police Station, tagumpay na nainlusand ang operasyon dakong alas-2:15 ng madaling araw na nagresulta sa pagkakadakip sa suspek na si ‘Bartolome’, 23-anyos, na residente ng Purok- 3, Brgy. Bil-isan, Panglao ng naturang probinsya.

Nakumpiska sa pag-iingat ng suspek ang may kabuuang timbang ng iligal na droga na 1.550 kilo na may Standard Drug Price na P10,540,000.00 maging ang ginamit na buy-bust money.

Ang mga nakalap na ebidensya ay isinumite na sa Bohol Provincial Forensic Unit para sa pagsusuri habang ang suspek na nasa kostudiya ngayon ng kapulisan ay isinailalim na sa mga kaukulang proseso at disposisyon.

Mahaharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 ang suspek.

Ang matagumpay na operasyon ay bunga ng pinahusay at pinaigting na kampanya ng PNP kontra iligal na droga sa pagsusulong ng kaayusan at kapayapaan ng komunidad.

PRO7 NETS PhP10.5-MILLION OF DRUGS IN RELENTLESS OPERATIONS IN BOHOL PROVINCE

The relentless and focused intelligence police operations in the campaign against illegal drugs in Central Visayas led Police Regional Office 7 to recover an estimated 1.5 kilograms of shabu worth PhP10.5 million in the province of Bohol early this morning, February 1, 2024.

Citing the report from Dauis Municipal Police Station of Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), PBGEn Anthony Aberin, PRO7 Regional Director, said a 23-year-old high-profile drug suspect was arrested during a buy-bust operation launched at 2:16 AM of February 1, 2024, at Purok 6, Brgy. Dao, in Dauis, Bohol, by the station’s Municipal Drug Enforcement Team.

Seized from the suspect were more than 1.5 kilograms of shabu with a standard drug price of PhP10,540,000.00, buy-bust money, a sling bag, one unit motorcycle without plate number and other drug paraphernalia.

PBGen Aberin lauded the efforts of Dauis Municipal Police Station, which has made a substantial contribution to Police Regional Office 7’s campaign against illegal drugs.

“On my watch, my instruction to the ground commanders is very clear - to cut off the supply and pursue after those groups behind the proliferation of illegal drugs in Central Visayas. We will double our efforts in adherence to the BIDA Program and 5-Focused Agenda of the PNP to ensure that our communities are safe and secure,” he articulated.

The suspect is in police custody and will face charges in violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PRO7-PIO)
