“Granting Incentives to Restaurants or Similar Food Businesses Operating and Doing Business Within the Municipality of La Trinidad that Include in Their Menu the Calorie Count per Serving of the Food They Are Offering to the Public for Improved Health and Nutrition Benefits, Providing Funds Therefor and for Other Purposes.”

Strengthening collaboration and bringing government services closer to the people, the Municipality of La Trinidad continues to conduct the One-Stop Government Services Day at the La Trinidad Municipal Gymnasium today, May 28, 2026, until 3:00 PM.

Councilor Nestor T. Fongwan Jr. warmly welcomed all participating agencies, partner agencies, municipal offices, and constituents, recognizing the importance of the activity in promoting accessible, efficient, and transparent public service for the community.

Vice Mayor Guiller A. Galwan likewise expressed his support for the initiative and signified the continued assistance and cooperation of the Sangguniang Bayan Office in activities and programs that enhance public service delivery and strengthen community engagement.

Participating agencies included:

• PhilHealth Benguet Office
• Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) – La Trinidad
• Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Benguet
• Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – CAR
• Department of Agriculture (DA) – CAR

As part of the 76th La Trinidad Foundation Day, the Search for Golden Kayabang Awardees is now open!

Qualifications:
1. Nominees for the Golden Kayabang Awards are those who are;
a. Individuals and Organizations with recommendation/s from any person, group, or organization;
b. All those who were commended by the Sangguniang Bayan through a resolution for exemplary and remarkable recognition in any recognized field from June 17, 2025 of the previous year up to the present.
2. Must be bonafide resident of the Municipality of La Trinidad (Individuals), and must be locally based in the Municipality of La Trinidad (for Organizations).
3. Was never awarded or recognized by the Municipal Government for the past 5 years in the field.
4. Achievement/Accomplishment must be exemplary and have made a significant impact on the community.
5. Have received recognitions/awards from other awarding bodies/entities aside from the local Government of La Trinidad, Benguet. Very Important: Achievement/accomplishment MUST BE EXEMPLARY and have made a SIGNIFICANT IMPACT on the community.

• Second Reading of the proposed ordinance on the Institutionalization of Women Sectoral Representation in the Sangguniang Bayan.
• Second Reading of the proposed ordinance promoting the use of Indigenous Signages in Public Comfort Rooms.
• Committee deliberations on the proposed donation of fi****ms and assault rifles to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

o Creation of a Technical Working Group on land reclassification in support of the proposed bill of Eric Go Yap.

Ongoing consultation meeting today with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and different transport groups regarding transport operations in La Trinidad.

The consultation was initiated by Vice Mayor Guiller A. Galwan together with Hon. Tyrone T. Diaz, Chairman of the Committee on Public Utilities, in aid of legislation, to hear the concerns, suggestions, and recommendations of transport stakeholders and the public.

The activity aims to help improve transportation management and promote the safety and convenience of the riding public through open dialogue and cooperation.
