The Sangguniang Bayan of La Trinidad, Benguet deliberated on various matters concerning infrastructure, disaster response, local legislation, public services, finance, and community development.

Representatives from concerned agencies and service providers addressed matters of public concern, including:

๐น La Trinidad Infrastructure Project Monitoring Council (LTPMC)
The Sanggunian considered the proposed ordinance on its third and final reading, establishing the LTPMC, including its composition, functions, and funding.
๐น Support for Vegetable & Cutflower Farmers
The Sanggunian considered on third and final reading the proposed amendments to Ordinance No. 24-2020 concerning the support program for La Trinidad vegetable and cutflower farmers affected by oversupply and non-demand.
๐น Proposed Declaration of State of Calamity
The Sanggunian considered the MDRRMC recommendation for the declaration of a State of Calamity in La Trinidad due to the combined impacts of Tropical Cyclones Luis and Maymay, enhanced Southwest Monsoon, and African Swine Fever (ASF).
๐ฐ BUDGET & DEVELOPMENT

The Sanggunian deliberated on the Supplemental Annual Investment Program.
๐น โฑ304.730 Million Supplemental Budget No. 1, CY 2026
The Sanggunian considered the proposed Supplemental Budget under the General Fund and Economic Enterprises.
๐น โฑ1 Million Road Improvement
The Sanggunian considered the committee report concerning the realignment of โฑ1 million for the improvement of the road at Upper Riverside, Barangay Ambiong.
๐ค PARTNERSHIPS & PUBLIC SERVICES
The Sanggunian considered various agreements involving:
โข NFA โ Rice purchase for the calamity relief program
โข CIG-AFP โ Fuel assistance
โข Maya Philippines โ Digital and card payments
โข DSWD-CAR โ Utilization of a portion of the DSWD Regional Warehouse
โข Philippine Mental Health Association-Cordillera Chapter โ Neuropsychiatric education, evaluation, and assessment
โข Student training and industry immersion programs
โข Dap-ayan Mural Project
๐ NEW PROPOSED LEGISLATION
Among the measures taken up for first reading were proposed ordinances on:
๐ธ Regulation of fundraising and solicitation activities for medical assistance, disaster relief, charitable purposes, and community advocacy programs; and
๐ธ Uniform guidelines for the designation, qualifications, selection, and training of Barangay VAWC Desk Officers in the municipalityโs 16 barangays.
๐๏ธ OTHER SIGNIFICANT MATTERS
The agenda also included the proposed acquisition of the 219-square-meter property in Shilan presently occupied by the Shontog Day Care Center, land reclassification applications in Poblacion and Ambiong, and a proposed resolution allocating โฑ330,036.00 for unfunded Personal Services requirements.
The Sangguniang Bayan remained committed to responsive legislation, meaningful consultation, and sound decision-making in addressing the needs and concerns of the people of La Trinidad.
