Our office stood behind the scenes and operations of Baboy Ni Eyor activity, a program launched by our Honorable Mayor Ryanh M. Dolor offering our constituents more affordable yet same quality of porks. Our team composed of our supportive office staff and utilities personnel led by Eh-du Magbojos, together with the personnel of Municipal Agriculture’s Office headed by its OIC-MAO Rosemarie Alzate and Bauan Slaughter House headed by its house master Dennis Cruzat, joined forces in logistics and supplies while there had been a collective effort among all the LGU employees of the department involved in today’s activity. As the activity foiled down, constituents were satisfied that this Municipality brings them choices where they can avail in lesser cost yet the quality isn’t compromised. 💯

Not so much time passed since our last response, our Office responded again this time for the effects of Typhoon Ullyses that hit Batangas and others in tremendous way. Together with LGU Response teams and offices, our Office contributed in providing basic needs for the evacuees who found shelters in Bauan Command Center and played a role on site operations. In photos were our Office’s Utility Foreman Nolasco “Boy” Dimalibot, GSO Staff Eh-du Magbojos and GSO Driver Kenny Regino along with some members of the Bauan MDRRM Council.

In response to the effects of Typhoon Rolly that hit Batangas in damaging way and left some our families evacuated their homes and found shelter in our LGU Command center during its rampage in our town, our Office, together with our LGU response teams and offices, led the way in providing necessities to these families. In photos were, GSO Head Marc Kevin Areta, Utility Foreman Nolasco “Boy” Dimalibot, GSO staff Eh-du Magbojos and Utility Staff Nico Cañete, as they gather drinking water in containers at Tarcena (known water fountain in Bauan) to be provided to the families taking refuge in command center.

As spearheaded by Mayor Ryanh M. Dolor, our Office assisted and paved way in delivering units of information and communication (ICT) equipment, photocopiers and duplicators, school supplies and other needs to Bauan DepEd district in order to help them in preparing and launching this new normal way of schooling. Said equipment and materials were used by the said district in implementing their new academic programs amidst this pandemic.

In preparation for the resumption of local government services or reopening of Bauan Municipal Hall to its clientele, our Office took charge in disinfecting and cleaning the common areas, spaces and rooms of the municipal hall in order to assure health safety of our constituents and employees as well. Amidst this threat, our brave personnel ignored such threats just to ensure this safety call.

For the response against COVID 19, our LGU responsed by establishing a Quarantine Facility for COVID 19 related cases. In line with this, our Office headed by Marc Kevin Areta and Utility Foreman Nolasco “Boy” Dimalibot, together with outstanding members of LGBTQ+ of Bauan, prepared the facility which was a former hospital in our town. The hospital which stopped operations last 2019 were offered to the LGU and the LGU in return prepared it as the need for facility arose. This group spent 3 days in clearing, cleaning and preparing this facility which turned out to be perfectly shined. Up to this date, the facility is operational which our Office takes maintenance responsibilities over such.

With the threat that hit the world, a pandemic happened caused by a virus known as Corona (COVID 19), which costed the lives of many, held our people in their homes losing jobs and other necessities, mostly to say stopped the world. Our Office was in the frontline during the start of this tragedy that is until now is happening. In photos were the first attempt of the LGU as spearheaded by our Office headed by Marc Kevin Areta, General Services Officer and Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Victor Bejer, as we disinfected the common areas, spaces and rooms in the Municipal Hall.

With the tragedy that struck Batangas, Taal Volcano eruption, which displaced many families in the neighboring towns, destroyed and damaged many properties and livelihood, our LGU took care of these affected families. For over a month, our Office together with other Offices and personnel of our LGU served selflessly, volunteered and allotted precious energy and time by assisting, taking care of and providing what these affected families need. This fate which were heard all over the nation, media, persons and many notable individuals and groups visited Bauan as the center of refuge for these affected families. This fate also heralded the events of 2020 but this showed the bayanihan spirit of all Batangueños and Filipiños as a whole. Donations came abundant and help were reached. This event, which is truly unforgettable not only to the victims but also to all who volunteered and showed the true spirit of genuine help.

As strongly advised by our Municipal Mayor Ryanh Dolor in disposing properly all the stucked unserviceable and disposable properties of the LGU, our Office spearheaded the first ever disposal program. For years, no formal and well documented disposal activity has been attained by the LGU until this day. In photos were the assessment and appraisal of these properties and as seen aslo, was witnessed by our Commission on Audit (COA) officer assigned.

Personnel of our Office and Engineering’s Office conducted a drainage and manhole repair along the Kapitan Ponso Street- National Highway in front of Red Ribbon. The said manhole has been a problem since its collapse due to overload. In action was our former Utility Foreman, Cesar Garcia as he led our personnel assisted the repairmen of our partner Office.
