Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas through its Learning Resource Center joined the book launching and donation activity of three Batangueรฑo authors on January 7, 2025, at the Provincial Library, HELP Information Management Building, Capitol Compound, Batangas City.
The party featureed the launching of the books โSons of Batangas,โ written by Ian Gutierrez and Conrado Bugayong, both from Batangas City, and โSnippets of Life,โ authored by Ma. Eireen Conty Macaranas of Lipa City. Although they are currently living abroad, this has not been a hindrance for them to continue to promote the spirit and lesson of looking back or recognizing their respective places of origin, as well as appreciating the culture and history of the Province of Batangas.
The activity was implemented under the leadership of the Batangas Provincial Library, attended by Vice Governor Mark Leviste, Provincial Administrator Wilfredo Racelis, who was there in lieu of Governor Hermilando Mandanas, Secretary to the Municipal Council Mr. Nelson Bayani, and Provincial Librarian Alexander Lunar. Several representatives from the Department of Education โ Batangas Province and Batangas City, Batangas History Society, as well as librarians and administrators of libraries from different towns, cities, schools, and universities in the province were also present during the event.
