Building Safer and More Resilient Communities!

The Municipality of Orani successfully conducted the Seminar-Workshop on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) Plan for Barangays on April 13–14, 2026 at the Plaza Antonino Events Center and Commercial Complex, Maria Fe, Orani, Bataan.

This two-day activity brought together our dedicated Barangays to strengthen their knowledge and skills in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Anchored on Republic Act 10121, the training emphasized the importance of proactive, inclusive, and community-driven approaches in reducing risks and protecting lives. Participants actively engaged in workshops, risk assessments, and planning sessionsβ€”resulting in the development of draft Barangay CBDRRM Plans, hazard maps, and contingency strategies.

Together, we are empowering our barangays to become the first line of defense in times of disaster.

- Safer communities.

🌱 Strengthening Barangay Solid Waste Management in Orani

In line with RA 9003, the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, the Municipal Government of Orani, in coordination with the DILG, conducted a two-day Seminar-Workshop on March 23–24, 2026, guiding barangay officials in formulating their Barangay Solid Waste Management Plans (BSWMPs).

The activity aimed to orient barangay leaders on ecological waste management principles, assess current practices, identify gaps, and develop strategies for effective waste segregation, recycling, composting, and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) operations. By the end of the workshop, participants produced draft SWM plans, situation analyses, and proposed programs to boost waste diversion in their communities.

Through this initiative, Orani strengthens the role of barangays as frontliners in promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
