August 20, 2026 | In line with its continuing efforts to promote effective, functional, and accountable local governance, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) – Basilan Provincial Field Office conducted the Onsite Provincial Validation for the Local Governance Functionality Appraisal (LoGFA) for the Municipality of Albarka.

Led by Provincial Director Ra-diyah M. Akmad, the LoGFA Provincial Validation Team was warmly welcomed by Mayor Jaydeefar Juk Lajid together with his municipal department heads.

The team assessed the LGU’s functionality and verified its reported accomplishments across seven (7) key elements:

•Presence of a Government Center with Complete Facilities
•Active Elected and Appointed Officials and Functionaries
•Functional Local Special Bodies
•Functional Local Legislative Body
•Approved Mandated Plans and Budgets
•Available, Visible, and Accessible Basic Services
•Sound Fiscal Management

Municipal Mayor Moner S. Manisan, together with department heads and concerned focal persons, warmly welcomed the MILG-Basilan Provincial Audit Team (PAT) led by Provincial Director Ra-diyah M. Akmad during the 2026 Local Governance Functionality Appraisal (LoGFA) held at the Municipal Hall Astanah Tabuan-Lasa, Basilan.

Developed by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), the LoGFA is an assessment tool designed to evaluate an LGU’s functionality across seven key elements of governance. This appraisal reinforces LGU Tabuan-Lasa’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in public service delivery for all its constituents.

August 9-13, 2026 | LASIG PILAS! 🧡

LGU-Hadji Muhtamad, under the leadership of Mayor Arsina Kahing-Nanoh and Vice Mayor Nurissa Kahing, successfully completed its 5-day Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP+) & Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) formulation-workshop.

This initiative was organized following the recent CDP Assessment conducted by the Provincial Technical Assessment Committee (TAC), which recommended that all LGUs with outdated plans update their respective CDP+ to ensure full alignment with prescribed guidelines.

Dubbed "LASIG PILAS," these plans form the core priority agenda of Mayor Arsina Nanoh to drive sustainable growth and development across the municipality.

Serving as resource speakers were key officials from the MILG-Basilan Provincial Field Office, led by Provincial Director Ra-diyah M. Akmad, alongside her Provincial Planning Core Team: CLGOO Indira Patra A. Juaini (CDP Provincial Focal), APD Shemar P. Maali-Tria (MLGOO of LGU Hadji Muhtamad), and LGOO VI Amina O. Puyo, ensuring the formulation process strictly adhered to DILG CDP guidelines.
