The Bangsamoro Government joins the national and global commemoration of International Women’s Day today, March 8. This year continues the multi-year campaign theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” with the sub-theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”

This March, we honor every Bangsamoro woman and their significant roles in the region’s peacebuilding, governance, education, entrepreneurship, and community leadership.

Throughout this celebration, BARMM also reaffirms its commitment to gender-responsive policies and programs that support women’s participation in decision-making and sustainable development.
