As one term of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) concludes, the responsibility of governance is passed on to the next generation of student leaders. According to the CTU Student Handbook and the SSG Constitution and Bylaws, leadership is an open opportunity for any qualified student ready to step forward.
To run for office, an aspirant must be a bona fide student enrolled in the current academic year and remain enrolled for the succeeding year of their term. Key requirements include maintaining a regular academic load, meeting the required academic standing, and having no major disciplinary records.
The SSG serves as a vital pillar of campus governance, representing the student body in institutional discussions, raising vital concerns, and supporting student welfare. While an SSG term is temporary, the programs, projects, and commitment to service must continue.
Many ask if experience is a strict requirement to lead. The answer is false, leadership begins with a simple willingness to serve and listen; experience is something you develop over time as you take on the responsibility.
