The Municipality of Baloi in celebration to the Eid al-Fitr Prayer, a sacred gathering that marks the end of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

The Prophet ﷺ also said:
“The people of Islam will continue to celebrate these two days: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.”

RAMADHAN 2026 GRAND IFTAR ✨🌙

The Local Government Unit of Baloi under the leadership of HON MADID ELIAS L. ALI warmly holds its first Grand iftar among employees. This special event aims to bring together our LGU EMPLOYEES in the spirit of unity, faith, and gratitude during this holy month of Ramadhan.

Let us share the blessings of breaking our fast together, strengthen our bond as one community, and reflect on the values of compassion, humility, and service.

THe program will include welcome remarks, the Mayor’s message, an Islamic lecture, Du’ah, the Call to Prayer (Adhan), and the communal breaking of fast followed by Iftar and dinner. The evening will conclude with Isha and Taraweeh

May this blessed gathering inspire peace, unity, and spiritual renewal for everyone. We look forward to sharing this sacred moment with you.

PUBLIC ADVISORY: POWER INTERRUPTION

Emergency power interruption affecting Marawi City & parts of Lanao del Sur and parts of Lanao del Norte, 21 February 2026.

Time: 1:00PM - 3:30PM
Affected: LASURECO and LANECO M3
Other: Newtech Pulp

Reasons:
1) hot spot correction at Saguiaran Switching Station
2) hot spot correction of three (3) high voltage equipment at Baloi Substation

This requires the shutdown of Baloi-Marawi 69kV line2 and the respective lines of the affected power customers.

Specific areas affected are determined by the concerned electric cooperatives. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled.

Also, Baloi-Marawi 69kV line2 was on emergency shutdown at 9:32PM, February 20, to facilitate repair of detached loop at structure no. 102 but power was restored at 10:33PM to affected areas after corrective works have been completed. Said line tripped earlier that evening at 5:36PM and was immediately re-energized at 5:57PM.

🌙 Ramadhan 2026 Moonsighting Activity by LGU Baloi Enjoined by the United Imams, Ulamas, and Sheikhs.

In solemn observance of the coming Holy Month of Ramadhan 2026, the Local Government Unit of Baloi will conduct the official Moonsighting Activity in unity with the United Imams, Ulamas, and Sheikhs of the Municipality of Baloi.

This sacred gathering symbolizes our collective commitment to faith, unity, and spiritual preparation as we await the sighting of the crescent moon that marks the beginning of Ramadhan.

🌙 Activity Details:
• Activity: Ramadhan Moonsighting
• Participants: United Imams, Ulamas, Sheikhs, and LGU Officials
• Purpose: Official confirmation of the start of Ramadhan
• venue: LANDAP BEACH, Manticao Misamis Oriental
• Date: To be announced (29th day of Sha’ban)

This meaningful activity reflects the strong partnership between the LGU and our respected religious leaders in upholding Islamic traditions and fostering unity within our community.

LGU BALOI DISTRIBUTE RELIEF ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF TYPHOON BASYANG

In the wake of Typhoon Basyang, the Local Government Unit of Baloi immediately mobilized its relief operations to extend assistance to affected families in:

• Brgy. Abaga
• Brgy. Angayen
• Brgy. Basagad
• Portions of Brgy. West Poblacion

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Madid Elias L. Ali, relief goods were distributed to families who were severely affected by the recent typhoon. Food packs and essential supplies were provided to help ease the burden of our constituents during this difficult time.

The LGU Baloi remains committed to ensuring that no family is left behind. We continue to assess the situation and coordinate with concerned offices for further assistance and recovery efforts.

We thank all responders, volunteers, and partners who helped make this relief operation possible. Together, we rise as one community.
