Para sa mga Registered Social Workers (RSWs), hindi na kailangang kumuha at pumasa sa Civil Service Examination upang maging eligible for appointment sa mga posisyong sakop ng civil service.

Ito ay dahil sa𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬𝟴𝟬, 𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀.

Ibig sabihin, kung ikaw ay nakapasa sa Social Workers Licensure Examination at naging Registered Social Worker, 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗶𝘆𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗔 𝟭𝟬𝟴𝟬.

Kaya kapag may job posting na nangangailangan ng “Career Service Professional Eligibility or RA 1080 Eligibility,” maaaring gamitin ng RSW ang kanyang Board Examination eligibility bilang qualification, subject to the applicable qualification standards and other requirements of the position.

📌 Simple reminder:
Board passer ka na? May RA 1080 eligibility ka na. Hindi na kailangan ng separate Civil Service Exam.

Pero tandaan: eligibility is only one part of the qualification requirements. Kailangan pa ring matugunan ang required education, training, experience, license, at iba pang qualification standards ng posisyon.

So, fellow RSWs, know your eligibility!
Hindi lahat ng eligibility ay kailangang makuha sa Civil Service Exam. 😊

Job Summary:
The Social Welfare Officer III shall be the focal person of the RJJWC in the region, providing assistance and support to the RJJWC in performing its mandate, duties and functions, in accordance with RA 9344 as amended and its IRR. He/She oversees the implementation of programs, projects, and activities identified in the RJJWC work and financial plan. He/She likewise coordinates with the RJJWC member agencies, with other partners and stakeholders at the LGU level, and with the National Secretariat.

The has adopted the term "𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘮-𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘳" when referring to persons who have experienced sexual violence.

In a Decision written by Associate Justice Japar B. Dimaampao, the SC’s Third Division affirmed a man’s conviction for the r**e of a 12-year-old child.

The minor testified that while everyone was asleep, the accused, who was the common-law spouse of the minor’s mother, dragged the child outside the residence of her uncle, r**ed her, pointed a knife at her, and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

She told her uncle and aunt that the accused had been sexually abusing her since she was nine years old. She did not report it earlier because she feared his threats.

The SC found all the elements of r**e present and the accused positively identified as the ra**st. In addition to the penalty of 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘢 or up to 40 years in prison, the SC ordered the man to pay the victim-survivor PHP 450,000 in civil indemnity and damages.

The SC clarified its terminology in cases involving sexual violence. Rather than using the term "𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘮," it adopted "𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘮-𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘳" to acknowledge both the harm caused by the crime and the strength victims show in enduring and recovering from such violence.

As part of the government’s efforts to provide comprehensive support for victim-survivors, the SC also directed the Department of Social Welfare and Development to refer the minor to the proper r**e crisis center for assistance.
