Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐆 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐄, Acting Regional Director, Bureau of Fire Protection – Negros Island Region, personnel of Bais City Fire Station headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐁, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal, were deployed at the Bais City Ballfield during Sagarbarria’s Night to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors enjoying the festivities. Business owners are reminded that during fire safety inspections, BFP personnel are authorized only to inspect and verify compliance with fire safety requirements. They are not allowed to sell, endorse, recommend, or require the purchase of fire extinguishers from any specific brand, supplier, or distributor. Business owners are free to procure fire extinguishers from any legitimate supplier, provided that the units comply with the applicable DTI–BPS certification requirements.

Bais City Fire Station encourages all business owners to be guided by this joint advisory and to ensure that only compliant and properly certified fire extinguishers are installed in their establishments. Compliance with fire safety regulations helps protect lives, property, and businesses while promoting transparency and integrity in the conduct of fire safety inspections.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐆 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐄, Acting Regional Director, Bureau of Fire Protection – Negros Island Region, the Bais City Fire Station personnel headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐁, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal, conducted a two-day First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training at Central Azucarera de Bais (CAB). The training aimed to enhance the participants’ preparedness, knowledge, and skills in responding effectively to medical emergencies.

Through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants strengthened their confidence and readiness to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – Negros Island Region, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐆 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐄, Acting Regional Director, and represented by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐁, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal of Bais City Fire Station, conducted Talakayan at Damayang Pang Kabuhayan, a Public Fire Safety Education (PFSE) activity, for the management and employees of Central Azucarera de Bais (CAB) as part of the OLP: Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan program.

The seminar focused on workplace fire safety by emphasizing the identification and control of fire hazards, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of portable fire extinguishers. Participants were also reminded that fire prevention is a shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and resilient workplace.

As part of the activity, the Emergency Response Plan for Business (ERPB) was introduced and discussed, highlighting its importance in ensuring an organized and effective response to fire and other emergencies within the establishment. Participants were guided on the essential components of the ERPB and were encouraged to develop and implement a business-specific emergency response plan tailored to the unique hazards, operations, and emergency needs of CAB.

Through the Talakayan at Damayang Pang Kabuhayan program, BFP Bais City Fire Station continues to strengthen partnerships with the business sector by promoting proactive fire prevention, preparedness, and emergency planning, helping create safer workplaces and more resilient communities.

Utilizing specialized rescue gear, our dedicated firefighters successfully brought the cat down safely and unharmed.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed not only to suppressing fires but also to saving lives—including our vulnerable four-legged friends. 🐾🚒
