Due process is basically fair legal proceedings. It's a concept to make sure that the KASAMA SSC follows established rules and doesn't take away the rights of the students without a fair hearing.

The judicial process is the series of steps in administering justice through the SLU Student Court. This process ensures that students are treated fairly and have a chance to defend themselves. It also educates students about the code of conduct and their responsibilities within the university.

[𝗦𝗟𝗨 𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯]

Sa ilalim ng huwad na pamumuno ng tambalang Marcos Jr.-Duterte, lalo lamang tumitindi ang mga pagsubok na ikinahaharap ng kabataan.

Tila ba isang tanikalang kumikitil sa kalayaan at tinatapakan ang dignidad ng mga Pilipino, habang patuloy na nilulugmok ang taumbayan sa malawakang kahirapan na nag-ugat sa kapabayaan at kapalpakan ng mga nagdaang administrasyon at habang patuloy ring bumabagsak ang disposisyon ng sambayanan. Ang lingguhang pagsirit ng presyo ng mga bilihin, ang pagkitil sa buhay ng mga mulat, ang pagbulsa ng kaban ng bayan, ang pagbulag-bulagan sa daing at panawagan ng ordinaryong mamamayan, ang pagbaluktot sa ating kasaysayan, at pagtapak sa mga karapatang pantao. Ngunit sa bawat marahas na pagsupil at pambubusabos ng bulok na lipunan ay may iniluluwal na bagong pag-asa ng bayan – handang tumindig upang tubusin ang dugo, pawis, at yaman na ninakaw mula sa masa.

Ngayon ang panahon upang pagningasin ang alab ng p**t sa lansangan. Ngayon, higit kailan man, tanging ang mapagpasya at kolektibong pagkilos ang susi sa pagkamit sa hustisya. Hindi takot ang mananaig kundi ang pag-asa na siyang magsisilbing liwanag habang ating tinatahak ang landas ng pakikibaka patungo sa isang tunay na malaya, makabayan, at makatarungan na lipunan.

Today at 2 PM, the Louisian Congress received news of Louisian Act No. 001-21-22 and Louisian Act No. 002-21-22 being officially signed into regulation by Rev. Fr. Gilbert Sales, CICM.

The former shall take effect in the first semester of academic year 2022-2023, while the latter shall award the current set of KASAMA/SSC officers.

Congratulations to the whole Louisian community! Always for and in the pursuit of a strengthened, consistent, and, unified legislative agenda.

[CALL FOR DONATIONS]

Last Thursday, the farmers of Tinang, Concepcion, Tarlac conducted a Bungkalan by together with other peasant advocates. A Bungkalan is a collective action of farmers to assert their right to land and convert idle ones for food security. This particular Bungkalan by almost 150 farmers, led by Malayang Kilusang Samahan ng mga Magsasaka ng Tinang (MAKISAMA-Tinang), who were all agrarian reform beneficiaries. They were holders of Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) since 1995 under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

During the said Bungkalan, police forces attacked and harassed all the 150 farmers and the almost 50 plus volunteers and advocates who were present. A total of 92 were detained with no basis initially, but then 83 of them were hurriedly charged by Malicious Mischief and Illegal Assembly. The bail was obviously bloated, needing a total of 39,000 php per individual to bail out. All of the participants included, they need a total of almost 3.2 million php. Two of those detained were campus journalists and students of Saint Louis University, who were voluntarily willing to witness and help in the said Bungkalan. Another student from UP Baguio was also detained from them.
