On August 17, 2026, the Municipality of Badoc, through the LYDO and Sangguniang Kabataan, recognized outstanding young Badoqueños through the Natan-ok nga Agtutubo Awards 2026 as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration.
The awards honored youth excellence in academics, leadership, talent, innovation, and community service. Latin honor graduates also received cash incentives ranging from ₱3,000 to ₱10,000.

The initiative, led by Mayor Virgilio M. Calajate, with the support of Vice Mayor Glennd George G. Cajigal, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, LYDO, and Sangguniang Kabataan, reflects the LGU’s commitment to empowering and recognizing the achievements of the youth.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐃𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

On August 10, 2026, the Sangguniang Bayan of Badoc conducted a meeting with the Badoc Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (BATRIODA), led by Sangguninang Bayan Member Glenn Novan M. Cajigal, Chairman of Committee on Transportation and Communication, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan. The meeting was also joined by Police Lieutenant Jonathan Alonzo, OIC of MPS Badoc.

The meeting served as an avenue to discuss important transportation concerns, hear the issues and suggestions of our tricycle drivers, and strengthen coordination between the local government and transport sector.

On August 17, 2026, Commanding Officer of Marine Battalion Landing Team-8 (MBLT-8), LTCOL Rostum C. Delasa PN(M) together with 2LT ALEXIS VINCENT G. CORAL PN(M) and MSGT ARNEIL C. AGAD PN(M) paid a courtesy visit to Vice Mayor Glennd George G. Cajigal who was accompanied by SBM Romnick James. M Torralba, SBM Michael T. Cajigal and Liga President SBM John Marck T. Cajigal.

The visit aimed to strengthen coordination and foster closer collaboration between the Philippine Marine Corps and the local government unit in support of peace, security, and community development initiatives.

On August 11, 2026, The Vice Mayor & Sangguniang Bayan Office proudly showcased their culinary creativity by presenting a unique Japanese Filipino fusion dish, blending the distinct flavors and traditions of both cuisines into one delicious creation during the Natan-OK A Badoc Cookerlympics.

Our talented chefs Ms. Roshan Sarmiento, Ms. Ruthlyne Laforteza and Mx. Ashlie Ciriaco put their skills to the test in three exciting competition categories: Appetizer (JAPANESE LUMPIA) Main Course (KOKAKSU KARE KARE) and Desert (TACO BIKO ONIGIRI) serving up dishes filled with passion, innovation, and flavor. The team was also awarded the Special Award for Best in Overall Presentation, recognizing their creativity and exceptional presentation.

A huge congratulations to all our winners, participants, and judges who made this event a delicious success! Thank you for bringing your passion and creativity to the table.
