โBalik Eskwela 2026: Gift Giving and Feeding Programโ Benefits 279 Learners Through Community and Family Outreach Initiatives
BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL โ May 25, 2026 โ A total of 279 children and learners benefitted from the successful conduct of the โBalik Eskwela 2026: Gift Giving and Feeding Programโ spearheaded by FSUPT JENNY MAE C MASIP, City Fire Marshal, together with the personnel of the Bacolod City Fire Station and the support of the MASIP Family and partner organizations.
The multi-day outreach initiative aimed to provide school supplies and meals to learners and children in preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026โ2027, while promoting compassion, bayanihan, and community service.
The first activity was conducted on May 23, 2026 at 8:30 AM at Guanzon-Balgos Elementary School, Barangay Dulao, Bago City, where 132 elementary learners received school supplies and participated in a feeding program. The outreach activity was conducted in partnership with Kanlaon Lodge No. 64 F.&A.M. and Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) SANSINIRANGAN Class of 2007.
Later that same day at around 4:00 PM, another outreach activity was conducted at Purok Santan, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, where 66 Kindergarten to Grade 12 learners received school supplies and meals. The activity carried a more personal significance as it was held in a community close to the heart of the organizers. The event was supported by Park Inn by Radisson and Mister Donut, alongside partner organizations and volunteers.
The culminating activity was held on May 25, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the grounds of the Bacolod City Fire Station, where 81 children of BFP personnel from the Bacolod City Fire Station, Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal โ Province of Negros Occidental, and the BFP NIR Finance Management Division received school supplies and meals as part of the initiative. The activity was conducted as a way of giving back to the families of BFP personnel in recognition of their unwavering support and sacrifices in public service, while helping prepare their children for the upcoming school year.
FSUPT JENNY MAE C MASIP expressed her gratitude to all sponsors, volunteers, partner organizations, and Bacolod City Firefighters who contributed to the success of the outreach activities.
โThis initiative reflects the importance of extending support not only to communities and learners in need, but also to the families of our personnel who continuously stand behind us in our commitment to public service. Through these simple acts of kindness, we hope to inspire the children to pursue their education and dreams with determination,โ FSUPT MASIP stated.
The successful conduct of the three outreach activities highlighted the spirit of unity, volunteerism, and compassion among firefighters, community partners, and volunteers who came together for the welfare of children and learners.
The annual โBalik Eskwelaโ initiative continues to embody the true meaning of public service and bayanihan by supporting education, promoting child welfare, and uplifting communities through meaningful outreach activities.
