Bacolod Sanggunian Wins Regional Award for Most Outstanding Local Legislative Unit

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod was recognized as the Regional Winner for the Most Outstanding Local Legislative Unit during the 2025 Local Legislative Awarding Ceremony held at the Park Resort in Cebu City on December 1, 2025.

Vice Mayor Kalaw Puentevella, along with Councilors Em Ang, Thaddy Sayson, Bobby Rojas, Celia Flor, and Homer Bais, accepted the award.

The Local Legislative Awards recognize exemplary local legislative bodies for their effectiveness in enacting laws and resolutions that contribute to local governance and development, as stated by Councilor Ang.

The awards are evaluated based on criteria such as the effectiveness of the legislative agenda, efficiency, and the availability of legislative documents.

The aim of these awards is to establish a system of recognition for local legislative bodies and to inspire them to perform their duties with excellence.

📍 SM City Bacolod – August 1, 2, 4, and 5
📍 Robinsons Place Bacolod – August 6 to 10, 2025

🕗 Registration starts at 8:00 AM, and will run until the number slots for the day last.

🔢 We will be catering to:
✔️ 500 applicants per day for SK and regular voter registration

👥 Who can register?
✅ If you’re 15 years old or older on or before Election Day 2025, you’re eligible!
– Ages 15–17: Register for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK)
– Ages 18 and above: Register as a regular voter

❌ Transfer from Brgy. to other Barangays
❌ Transfer from City to other Cities

Requirements and Qualifications:

✅ Should be a resident of the said Barangay for at least 6 months
✅Should be a resident of the Philippines for at least 1 year
✅ for (SK Voters) must be 15 years old on the day of Election (December 1, 2025)
