Philippine Statistics Authority Cordillera Administrative Region, led by Regional Director Villafe P. Alibuyog, conducted a series of vital civil registration and national identification services in the Municipality of Calanasan, Apayao on 02 June 2026.
Joining the Regional Director were OIC Chief Administrative Officer Gerard A. Tolito, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Apayao Geoffrey B. Calimuhayan, and other PSA CAR personnel who participated in an Interface Meeting with the Local Civil Registry Officers (LCROs). The activity served as a venue to strengthen collaboration, discuss civil registration concerns, and enhance the delivery of frontline services to the public.
During the engagement, PSA CAR officials and LCRO representatives exchanged updates, best practices, and strategies aimed at improving civil registration processes and ensuring efficient service delivery across the province.
In addition to the interface meeting, PSA CAR conducted Mobile Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlet Services, bringing civil registry document requests closer to residents of Calanasan. The mobile service enabled clients to conveniently access PSA-issued documents without the need to travel to distant service outlets.
The team also facilitated National ID Registration, providing unregistered individuals with the opportunity to enroll in the National Identification System. The activity supports the government's commitment to expanding National ID coverage, particularly in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
Furthermore, the distribution of Security Paper (SECPA) copies of civil registry documents under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) was carried out. Beneficiaries received their PSA-issued birth certificates, helping ensure legal identity and access to essential government and social services.
Through these initiatives, PSA CAR continues to strengthen its commitment to making civil registration, identification, and statistical services more accessible to communities, especially those in remote areas of the Cordillera Administrative Region. See less
