A significant milestone was marked today as the Department of Tourism Region III (DOT-III) officially held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for its future Regional Office located at the City Town Center, Brgy. Bulaon, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The ceremony was attended by Regional Director Richard G. Daenos, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Chief Operating Officer Mark T. Lapid, Acting City Legal Officer Atty. Kristannico S. Abad on behalf of Mayor Vilma B. Caluag, together with officials and representatives from TIEZA and the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga. Their presence underscored the strong collaboration among key stakeholders in advancing tourism development across Central Luzon.

This undertaking represents a shared vision for a stronger and more dynamic tourism sector in Central Luzon. As the foundation is laid for the future DOT-III Regional Office, it stands as a testament to collaboration, progress, and the enduring commitment to excellence in public service and sustainable tourism growth.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: In collaboration with the Office of Human Capital Development (OHCD), the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region III trained several instructors from different learning institutions in Central Luzon to be in-house trainers of the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence through the Train-the-Trainers Course last May 18-21, 2026, at the Best Western Plus Metro Clark, Angeles City.

Through this program, the DOT Region III will be able to equip more incoming tourism workforce with concepts of service excellence grounded on Filipino hospitality, promoting globally competitive guest experience in Central Luzon.

𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In celebration of National Heritage Month 2026, the Department of Tourism Region III (DOT-III), together with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), joined SAGALA: From Stories to Celebration, a vibrant showcase of faith, culture, and community spirit in Clark.

Led by CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera as Hermana Mayor and DOT-III Regional Director Dr. Richard G. Daenos as Hermano Mayor, the celebration highlighted the shared commitment of tourism and cultural stakeholders to preserve and promote Central Luzon’s rich heritage. The event also brought together representatives from Angeles City, Mabalacat City, the Municipalities of Porac and Capas, the Provinces of Pampanga and Tarlac, the Central Luzon Association of Independent Tour Operators (CLAITO), and tourism and hospitality partners across the region.

Adding color to the celebration were the cultural presentation and intermission performances of Sinukwan Kapampangan, which showcased the region’s enduring traditions and cultural identity, fostering greater appreciation for the heritage that continues to shape Central Luzon.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

With the collective participation of various stakeholders and attendees, the webinar entitled “Heraldic Law in the Philippines: Republic Act No. 8491, Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines” was successfully conducted by the Department of Tourism - Region III (DOT-III), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Tarlac and the Local Government of Tarlac City, on 28 May 2026 via Zoom.

The webinar provided participants with valuable insights on the proper observance of the country’s national symbols and the significance of heraldic law in promoting patriotism and national identity. Through the discussion led by esteemed resource speaker Mr. Juan Paolo Calamlam, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the provisions and importance of Republic Act No. 8491.
DOT-III extends its sincere appreciation to all partners and participants whose support and active engagement contributed to the success of this meaningful and informative activity.
