Mula sa Pamahalaang Bayan ng Anao at Anao–MDRRMO:

Ang paglangoy sa mga sapa (creeks) at iba pang daluyan ng tubig ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal. Ang mga ito ay maaaring magkaroon ng malalalim na bahagi, malalakas na agos, madulas na ilalim, at iba pang panganib na maaaring magdulot ng malubhang pinsala o pagkamatay.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat ng mamamayan na maging mapagmatyag at responsable, lalo na sa pagbabantay sa mga bata, upang maiwasan ang anumang insidenteng maaaring magbunga ng kapahamakan.

Ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa ay pananagutan nating lahat. Makipagtulungan at sumunod sa mga ipinatutupad na alituntunin para sa isang ligtas na komunidad.

Under the leadership and guidance of Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios(Anao - MDRRMC Chairperson and Municipal Mayor), the MDRRMO–Anao, headed by Mr. Nick V. Salazar, LDRRM Officer, conducted a Search, Rescue, and Retrieval Operation for a drowning incident victim in Brgy. Sinense, Anao, Tarlac. The incident was reported by the barangay officials of Brgy. Sinense, and the victim was retrieved at around 12:30 PM.

In respect to the victim and their family, further details will be kept confidential.

The MDRRMO–Anao strongly reminds all residents that swimming in creeks and other waterways is strictly prohibited, as these pose serious risks to life and safety.

We are proud to share that the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Anao, under the leadership and guidance of Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios, Municipal Mayor and Anao MDRRMC Chairperson was recognized as one of the participating LGUs in the 5th KALASAG Challenge (SIMEX) Edition—a simulation exercise showcasing the effective application of the Incident Command System (ICS).

This activity was conducted in collaboration with the LGUs of the Province of Tarlac and partner agencies, including the BFP, PNP, Philippine Army (3rd Mechanized & 522nd Engineering Battalion), PAF TOG 3, Philippine Red Cross, Filipino Chinese Volunteers, Tarlac Agricultural University, Tarlac Mountaineering Club, SCAN International, Tarlac PDRRMO, and Tarlac Provincial Hospital.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers for this meaningful and capacity-building activity. We also acknowledge the presence of Mr. Raymond Garcia, representative of OCD Region III Director Amador Corpuz, during the awarding ceremonies.

Special thanks to Mr. Marvin Guiang, Tarlac PDRRM Officer, and Hon. Christian Yap, Provincial Governor and Chairperson of the Tarlac PDRRMC, for their continued support in strengthening disaster preparedness and response in the province.

Emergency Medical Responders Training with Ambulance Operations (November 24–28, 2025)

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office successfully concluded a 5-day comprehensive Emergency Medical Responders Training with Ambulance Operations — 2 days via Zoom (Nov. 24–25) and 3 days of intensive hands-on sessions (Nov. 26–28).

This capacity-building activity was made possible through the leadership of Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios, Municipal Mayor / MDRRMC Chairperson, and was effectively implemented through the initiative and coordination of Mr. Nick V. Salazar, LDRRMO II, as part of our continuous commitment to strengthening the emergency response capabilities of our community.

• 18 Barangay Representatives
• Rescue Volunteers

On the 5th day, we were honored by the presence of our Vice Mayor, Hon. Concepcion C. Almazan, who joined us during the graduation rites to show also her full support to this activity, especially to the trainees.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated trainors from J2Aid for imparting valuable knowledge and skills that will greatly enhance our local emergency response operations.

Before, During, and After the Wrath of Super Typhoon

Through the leadership and guidance of Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios, Municipal Mayor and MDRRMC Chairperson, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Anao worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and preparedness of our community before, during, and after the onslaught of Super Typhoon Uwan.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Gian Pierre O. De Dios, Vice Mayor Concepcion C. Almazan, SB Members, the MDRRM Council Members, Barangay Captains and Officials, the LGU Anao workforce, Anao - PNP, Anao - BFP, and all volunteers who dedicated their time and effort in carrying out response and recovery operations.

Your cooperation, vigilance, and commitment truly embody the spirit of bayanihan and resilience of the people of Anao.
