We are humbled to receive the 2025 Population and Development (POPDEV Awards) from the Commission on Population and Development under the Municipal Category. This award recognizes our efforts in promoting responsible parenthood, adolescent health, and population management.

Success like this is never a solo effort. We want to extend our deepest thanks to:

𝗦𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗸: 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻! ✨

Groundwork has officially begun for the construction of the Family and Youth Development Center in Alimodian.

Representatives from the Iloilo Provincial Population Office—headed by Provincial Population Officer Atty. Ruel Von Superio, alongside Development Management Officer Mrs. Shalene P. Hidalgo, AHYD Program Coordinator Mrs. Ruth Lujan, and PPO I Ms. Angel Grace Siaton—joined forces with the Iloilo Provincial Engineering Office for an ocular inspection of the proposed construction site.

In close coordination with Municipal Mayor Hon. Ian Kenneth Alfeche, Engr. Leo Salanatin, and LYDO Arvin Almira, this initiative marks a major milestone in our mission to provide dedicated spaces for family empowerment and youth growth.

We honor the strong partnership between the Provincial Government of Iloilo and the Local Government of Alimodian in making this dream a reality.

✨𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐁𝐒𝐏𝐎 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐭-𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 ✨

The Iloilo Provincial Population Office - Municipality of Alimodian, together with its strong 𝟲𝟬 𝗕𝗦𝗣𝗢𝘀 from 51 barangays, recently wrapped up a productive year and ushered in the holiday season with our 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 held on December 12, 2025.

Highlights centered on celebrating the successful milestones for the year 2025, including the awarding and recognition to the exceptional performance and steadfast commitment of our esteemed BSPOs who went above and beyond this year. A celebration is not complete without laughter, cheer, and camaraderie, so everyone bonded through games, mini raffle and exchange gifts.

A huge thank you to SB Noralyn Cabatbat for gracing our event and to SB Den-Den Almendral for their additional 𝙥𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙤 to our BSPOs.

Overall, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Alimodian, headed by Hon. Ian Kenneth A. Alfeche, and the Punong Barangays, with LIGA President, Hon. Sebastian Salcedo, for their invaluable support to our BSPOs and the overall activities, programs and initiatives of our office.

Here's to a Merry Christmas and a successful, impactful 2026 for BSPO Alimodian, and the entire Iloilo Provincial Population Office - Municipality of Alimodian family.

𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗕𝗦𝗣𝗢𝘀) 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗦𝗣𝗢 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀

With the theme “Empowering BSPOs: Stronger Families, Stronger Communities, Stronger Nation,” the event gathered the strong 2,505 BSPOs from across the province to recognize outstanding best practices of various population offices.

This annual activity also honored BSPOs who have rendered 10 to 40 years of dedicated service, celebrating their commitment and long-standing contribution to their communities.

Our office sincerely congratulate our own, Prezil Cabañas Andea - BSPO Cabacanan Proper for having served for 20 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨.

We are also proud to share that the Population Office of Alimodian became one of the 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 for the 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 during the event.

𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐚𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The province of Iloilo is hosting the 2025 National Population Convention on October 7 to 10, 2025 at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, Iloilo City.

The event will be spearheaded by the Association of Population Officers of the Province of Iloilo (APOPI, Inc.) in partnership with the Federation of League of Population Officers and Workers of the Philippines (FLEPOWPHIL).

This year’s theme is, “Local Actions Driving National Population Goals: The Iloilo Experience.”

Thousands of delegates and population champions across the country will be coming over to Iloilo to witness the best practices and innovations of the province on population and development (PopDev), particulary on family and youth empowerment.

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and Iloilo National High School Principal IV Dr. Delorah Cecilia Fantillo will be among the guest speakers.

One of the major highlights of the national gathering is the showcase of the recently-opened Balay MINERVA Teen Center at the Iloilo National High School, the biggest infrastructure built under the Teen Center 2.0 program of the Iloilo Provincial Population Office.

All over the country, Iloilo has the highest number of teen centers established in secondary schools- a total of 102 now existing across the 42 municipalities and 1 component city.

The provincial government is also building Family and Youth Development Centers (FYDC) in the different municipalities.

The province of Iloilo has consistently demonstrated its commitment to advancing population and development.

Iloilo is among the Top 5 Finalists in the 2025 Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantawo Awards - Most Outstanding LGUs in the Localization of Population and Development Agenda. It will be representing Western Visayas in the national competition. (Capitol news)
