The KALAHI-CIDSS program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development has a new logo, which was launched in November 2025. The redesigned logo reflects the program’s evolution and strengthened commitment to community-driven development.

Its elements and colors symbolize participation, empowerment, and partnership, core values that guide KALAHI-CIDSS in enabling communities to take an active role in planning, implementing, and sustaining development initiatives.

Official Turnover of Php 2,329,841.62 Road Improvement Sub-project in Sitio Paraiso, Paningayan, Madalag, Aklan

Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) Program under Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay Community Driven Development (KKB CDD) modality of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), turned over a Php 2,329,841.62 Road Improvement sub-project to the residents of the barangay Paningayan, in the municipality of Madalag last November 20, 2025.

A total of Php. 2,299,997.02 investment grant was made possible by the Program, in-kind counterpart contributions from the MLGU, BLGU and the community that completed the 0.30km road improvement following the standards and specifications.

The turnover ceremony was graced by RIO Engr. Loreto Balisnomo, Engr. Cheryl C. Setias, Arch. Neil Caminian representing the Regional Program Management Office, members of the Municipal Inter-Agency Committee, barangay officials headed by Punong Barangay Michael Nacionales and community volunteers lead by Gerlie N. Zambrona, BDC TWG Chair.

The completed road improved economic growth enhanced social connectivity, and better access to essential services of 298 households, as well as creating temporary jobs for the residents of the barangay including 35% of women in paid labor during sub-project implementation.

The Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KALAHI CIDSS KKB) officially turned over the subproject: Improvement of Access Pathway with Slope Protection to the Barangay Local Government Unit of Napnot, Madalag, Aklan on November 19, 2025, with a total project cost of Php. 2,329,841.62 benefitting 147 Households in Sitio Dumeag.

Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Inter-Agency Committee, barangay council, and BDC TWG community volunteers joined together with the technical working group of the Regional Program Management Office headed by Elizabeth D. Ferraris, CDO IV, in the celebration of teamwork, collaboration, and commitment of different stakeholders as the community receives not only a physical structure but also a legacy of perseverance, creativity, and common purpose.
