The 40th Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan was successfully conducted today at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, attended by the Honorable Members of the Sanggunian, together with invited guests and representatives from participating offices.

During the session, the body tackled and deliberated on various proposed resolutions, ordinances, and legislative measures intended to strengthen local governance, enhance public service delivery, and address the pressing concerns and developmental priorities of the municipality. The 39th Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan was successfully conducted today at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, attended by the Honorable Members of the Sanggunian together with invited guests and participating offices.

During the session, the body deliberated on various proposed resolutions, ordinances, and other legislative matters aimed at promoting effective governance, strengthening public service, and addressing the current needs and concerns of the municipality. The 38th Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan was successfully conducted today at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, with the presence of the Honorable Members of the Sanggunian and other distinguished participants.

During the session, the body deliberated on various proposed resolutions, ordinances, and legislative measures geared towards strengthening local governance and advancing the general welfare of the municipality. Each agenda item was carefully discussed to ensure that policies remain responsive to the needs of the community.

Moreover, personnel from the 29th Infantry Battalion (29th IB) lobbied during the session to present the Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) Framework. The presentation highlighted key strategies and collaborative efforts aimed at sustaining peace, ensuring security, and fostering development within the locality.

The Honorable Members and staff of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan of Remedios T. Romualdez actively participated in the 3-Day Seminar-Training held at the Watergate Pavilion, Butuan City, from April 14 to 16, 2026.

The activity focused on “Strengthening Local Legislative Governance: Foundations of Good Governance, Local Legislation, and Parliamentary Procedures,” equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to further enhance their legislative functions and responsibilities.

Throughout the training, attendees engaged in discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to deepen their understanding of effective lawmaking, parliamentary rules, and ethical governance. The seminar also provided a valuable platform for collaboration, exchange of best practices, and strengthening institutional capacity among local legislators.

This initiative underscores the Sanggunian’s continued commitment to professional development and its dedication to delivering efficient, transparent, and responsive public service to the people.

The Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan convened today at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall to deliberate on matters concerning the Supplemental Budget of Barangay Balangbalang.

During the meeting, the Honorable Members carefully reviewed the proposed supplemental budget, ensuring that the allocation of funds is justified, necessary, and aligned with the priority programs and services of the barangay. The 37th Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan was successfully conducted today at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, with the presence of esteemed guests from the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Agusan del Norte Chapter and the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran City.

During the session, the Honorable Members of the Sanggunian deliberated on proposed resolutions, ordinances, and other legislative measures aimed at strengthening local governance and promoting the general welfare of the municipality.

Moreover, the visiting delegates conducted a Post-Activity Assessment relative to the recently held Seminar-Training on “Strengthening Local Legislative Governance: Foundations of Good Governance, Local Legislation, and Parliamentary Procedures.” This activity provided an opportunity to evaluate learnings, share insights, and further enhance the legislative competencies of the body, reinforcing its commitment to effective, transparent, and responsive public service.

Earlier today, April 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM, the Sangguniang Bayan of Remedios T. Romualdez, through the Committee on Agriculture, Cooperative and Livelihood, successfully conducted a Public Hearing at the RTR Public Terminal.

The hearing deliberated on the proposed ordinance entitled: “AN ORDINANCE FOR RESPONSIBLE DOG AND CAT OWNERSHIP AND RABIES CONTROL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF REMEDIOS T. ROMUALDEZ, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION, COOPERATION, ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT THEREOF.”

The activity was attended by members of the Sangguniang Bayan and representatives from concerned municipal offices. Discussions focused on the provisions of the proposed ordinance, particularly on promoting responsible pet ownership and strengthening rabies control measures to ensure public health and safety in the municipality.

The Sangguniang Bayan extends its appreciation to those who participated in the deliberation and contributed to the formulation of responsive and effective local legislation.
