RAIN OR SHINE, LIVELIHOOD OPPORTUNITIES CONTINUE TO GROW!

Despite the rainy weather, the half-day 45-Day Chicken Production Training was successfully conducted for members of the SAWALY Association (Pikek) and Ableg Pamana Association.

The activity was organized through the initiative of the DSWD Peace and Development Buong Bansa Mapayapa (PDBBM) Program and the Local Government Unit of Daguioman, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO). It aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in chicken production, animal care, and livelihood management.

Special appreciation is extended to TESDA Resource Speaker Mr. Jumel B. Pati for sharing his expertise, and to Mayor Salma Q. Padilla for her continued support in advancing this livelihood initiative.

We also thank all participants for their active involvement and commitment despite the inclement weather. May this training contribute to the development of sustainable livelihoods and create greater opportunities for their families and communities.

Let us turn the knowledge and skills gained from this training into meaningful action and lasting success.

READY WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

A total of 500 Family Food Packs (FFPs) are now safely prepositioned at the LGU Daguioman Warehouse!

Of this total, 496 Family Food Packs were provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and hauled from the DSWD Warehouse in Bangued, Abra, while 4 packs were from the LGU’s existing stock, bringing the total available prepositioned food packs to 500.

This initiative is part of the continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and response and ensure that essential food assistance is readily available for families who may be affected by emergencies and disasters.

Our sincere appreciation to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the provision and prepositioning of the Family Food Packs, and to our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Salma Q. Padilla, for the strong leadership, support, and commitment in ensuring that Daguioman remains prepared and responsive during times of emergencies.

Special thanks as well to our LGU drivers, LGU employees, and Daguioman PNP personnel for generously sharing their time, effort, and manpower in the hauling, unloading, and proper arrangement of the food packs. Your teamwork and bayanihan greatly contributed to the successful completion of the activity.

Prepared today. Ready to respond tomorrow.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Daguioman, under the leadership of Local Chief Executive Hon. Salma Q. Padilla, extends its sincere appreciation to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through Abra SWAD Team Leader Ms. Claudine C. Cosi, for the provision and distribution of Family Food Packs to affected families in the municipality.

The distribution was conducted on August 11, 2026 in Tui, Ableg, and Pikek, and was continued on August 12, 2026 in Barangay Cabaruyan, completing the distribution of a total of 485 Family Food Packs across the four barangays.

The continuous rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) has affected the daily activities and livelihoods of our constituents, particularly our farmers. In this challenging situation, the food packs provided by DSWD serve as a significant assistance in addressing the immediate food needs of affected families.

The LGU Daguioman deeply appreciates DSWD for its prompt response, compassion, and continued support to the people of Daguioman.

Thank you, Department of Social Welfare and Development - DSWD , for standing with our community in times of need.

Malusog na Bata, Masayang Pamilya!

Ngayong araw, matagumpay na idinaos ang Child Development Center Nutrition Day Celebration 2026 ng mga Child Development Centers ng Ableg, Cabaruyan, Pikek, at Tui na may temang "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat! Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"
