March 6, 2026, Lam‑ag Elementary School successfully conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) focused on Strengthening School‑Based Management (SBM) through the School Governance Council (SGC). The activity was participated in by the teaching and non‑teaching staff of Ba‑ug Elementary School and Lam‑ag Elementary School, reflecting a shared commitment to collaborative leadership and continuous school improvement.

The SLAC served as a meaningful platform for professional learning and dialogue on effective school governance. Ma’am Rovie May T. Masing led an insightful discussion on School‑Based Management, emphasizing the importance of shared leadership, accountability, and stakeholder involvement in achieving school goals. Her discussion highlighted how SBM empowers schools to respond effectively to learners’ needs through participatory decision‑making and proper resource management.

Complementing this, Ma’am Merry Grace Baltazar provided a comprehensive discussion on the roles and functions of the School Governance Council. She emphasized the SGC’s vital role in supporting school initiatives, strengthening partnerships with stakeholders, and ensuring transparency and inclusivity in school programs and policies. Her presentation deepened participants’ understanding of how strong governance contributes to sustainable school development.

The activity fostered collaboration, reflection, and renewed commitment among the participants. It reinforced the value of teamwork between teaching and non‑teaching personnel in building a learning‑centered, accountable, and responsive school community. Overall, the SLAC successfully strengthened the participants’ knowledge and appreciation of SBM and SGC, affirming the schools’ dedication to quality education through effective governance and shared responsibility.

Our just concluded School Learning Action Cell (LAC) session on Braille Reading and Writing was successfully shared to us yesterday February 20,2026 by our Facilitators Ma’am GAUDELIA S. BARBOSA, Teacher V and Ma’am ESTERLING W. BEROÑA, Teacher VI.
This professional learning engagement strengthened our knowledge, skills, and shared commitment to providing accessible and inclusive education for learners with visual impairment.

Through active participation and shared insights, we deepened our understanding of effective strategies in teaching learners with visual impairment.

This engagement reaffirmed our collective commitment to ensuring that every learner is given equal access to quality education. By enhancing our competence in Braille reading and writing, we continue to build a more inclusive, responsive, and learner-centered educational environment.
