The second leg of the 𝗙𝗢𝗜 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀) is now open to participants—particularly LGU officials and staff involved in legislation, records management, and information delivery. This will be held on 𝟭𝟵 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 via 𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

The writeshop will feature discussions on the following:
• Salient provisions of Executive Order No. 2, s. 2016 focusing on the operationalization of the FOI Program;
• PCO and DILG Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01;
• Frequently requested data and information from LGUs; and
• A step-by-step guide to crafting a tailored FOI ordinance for your LGU

This session aims to capacitate local administrative bodies in drafting effective FOI ordinances that promote transparency and accountability at the local level.

[READ] Statement of Support

The Youth Work Center fully supports the League of Local Youth Development Officers’ call to professionalize youth work in the Philippines. Youth work is not a side assignment—it is a profession that requires standards, competencies, ethical accountability, and continuous development.

Youth workers across local governments, schools, and civil society deserve proper preparation, certification, and recognition. Professional youth work must also be data- and evidence-informed—culturally grounded, context-responsive, and guided by what works for Filipino youth and communities.

This has long been our agenda. Through our flagship program, the Positive Youth Development and Bridging Leadership (PYDBL), in partnership with the University of the Philippines Visayas College of Management, we contribute to strengthening professional standards and improving youth programming nationwide.

We reaffirm our commitment to help advance this reform.

The time to professionalize youth work is now.
