Con esto concluimos nuestras actividades del proyecto. No nos queríamos ir sin antes agradecerles por su apoyo y participación, nosotras nos llevamos lindos recuerdos y experiencias de este programa; el cual fue llevado a cabo gracias a las instituciones: Brigada de Voluntarios Bolivarianos del Perú y Canada World Youth.

🌎¡Buenos días a todos! Como parte del programa IAYI Tacna 2021, 😁El sábado 14 de junio, concluimos el círculo de aprendizaje con el tema "Gobernanza y formas indígenas de ser y conocer".

Nos sentimos muy felices ❤😁 de haber generado un espacio de interacción y conocimiento a pesar del tiempo y espacio que nos separa. Muchísimas gracias a todos los que nos acompañaron e hicieron esto posible. 🙌✨

🌎 Good morning everyone! As part of the IAYI program (Tacna, 2021), 😁 On Saturday June 14, we concluded the learning circle with the theme "Governance and Indigenous ways of knowing and being."

Happening in Canada right now is Indigenous History Month, and on the 21st of June will be National Indigenous peoples day, which will also occur on an important traditional seasonal marker of the summer solstice. In June of 1996 National Aboriginal day was implemented in Canada as a non-statutory holiday, this was also the year that the last Residential School was shut down in Canada.

During this month, Indigenous people across Canada continue to gather with their respective communities in an online setting in order to create awareness for issues related to our lives and our people. In a time when Covid-19 was not prevalent, you could expect to see Indigenous people gathering all across Canada on June 21 for pow wow celebrations and other community events.

Lo que está aconteciendo en Canadá en este momento es el Mes de la Historia Indígena, y el 21 de junio será el Día Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas, una festividad importante y tradicional del solsticio de verano. En junio de 1996, se implementó en Canadá el Día Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas como un día laborable; asimismo, ese mismo año se cerró la última escuela residencial en Canadá.

Durante este mes, los pueblos indígenas de Canadá continúan reuniéndose con sus respectivas comunidades en un entorno en línea para crear conciencia sobre los problemas relacionados con nuestras vidas y nuestra gente. Antes de que el Covid-19 apareciera, se podía observar a los pueblos indígenas reunidos en todo Canadá el 21 de junio para las celebraciones de “Pow Wow” y otros eventos comunitarios.

What time is better to acknowledge taking care of and empowering ourselves! Everyday is an opportunity to accomplish a goal of yours, to gain new perspectives and to gain new experiences! This month we challenge you to love yourself in a new way!

🌎¡Buenos días a todos! 😁Hoy acabamos de realizar un foro sobre cultura y gobernanza, de título "Global Perspective🍁" como parte del programa IAYI✨; del cual se beneficiaron 57 estudiantes del curso Problemas y Desafíos del Perú en un Mundo Global en la ciudad de Tacna; con quienes tuvimos el placer de compartir, reflexionar y sobre todo aprender unos de los otros.
