What is the role of community in a challenging world?

We are excited to welcome writer and commentator MAX RASHBROOKE to the Connecting for Change conference to speak on “Monopolies, bureaucracy, technology: the role of community in a challenging world”

In an increasingly challenging and fractured world, three of the main 'spheres' of life – public services, key consumer markets, and local communities – are all struggling to deliver the basic elements of human flourishing. What, then, is a realistic programme of reform that could revitalise each of these spheres and, with them, the lives that we want to live together?

Wellington-based writer, researcher, and journalist known for his incisive work on inequality, democracy, and public policy in Aotearoa. Author of Government for the Public Good and Too Much Money, Max is a sought-after commentator on the social and economic forces shaping New Zealand's communities.
