Happy Friday from us and the many animals here at Happy Hens Waihi.

Lots of exciting things happening. A new range of seafood from The Coromandel Smoking Company has arrived with smoked mussels, smoked salmon and flavoured marinated mussels.

Also new navelina oranges are here from Aaron who lives around the corner. They are huge. We are passing on savings to our customers and selling them for a buck each. Seedless and juicy.

At Happy Hens Waihi we like to think we have something for everyone.

If you live alone and want an easy dinner option we have single serve frozen gourmet meals in the perfect size. Or maybe chilled soup and some artisan bread to go with it. We also have the newly available Red Kitchen pies in stock too. They don’t disappoint.

We have beautiful fresh eggs laid with love by our happy hens and even have some jumbo eggs on the counter at the moment.

They say brekkie is the most important meal of the day. We have you covered with the most beautiful low carb and keto porridge. Not hard to prepare, comforting on a cold morning and filling plus healthy. Or we have gourmet granola to pair with maybe some fresh or gently cooked tamarillos from a local orchard. Then pair this with one of the tasty flavours of Gurnards coffee and you’ll be well away!

We have tasty Hoot chilli oil and sauce which are beautiful paired with eggs.

Fresh stocks of Duck Island icecream sandwiches and new sizes of Red Kitchen desserts which serve 1-2 people.

If you haven’t tried the Mingle range yet and you care about what goes into your family’s food it’s worth a go. No nasties, big on flavour and kids really love it.

We are open 7 days from 9am till 5.30pm and you’ll find us opposite Waimata School.

Welcome to the new addition to the Happy Hens crew - The Hoff is his name. His owner needed to find a new home for him. He’s a gorgeous boy and needless to say Tommee and Tina are quite edgy to have another turkey at the farm. Tina ran around the paddock like a crazy thing and Tommee decided to bump chests with him to show him who is in charge. They needn’t worry though as he’s an absolute gentleman and a kind soul.

You asked and we heard you. We now sell artisan bread at Happy Hens Waihi. Perfect to pair with our chilled soup range or use on platters with our gourmet condiments. Whether you are after seven seed, ciabatta, sourdough or a more gourmet flavour combo like pomodoro & whipped feta or balsamic & roasted onion Parmesan focaccia - there’s something for everyone.

We have lots of beautiful tamarillos and a shop full of gorgeous condiments to elevate your meals. Our eggs are big and beautiful and super fresh.

We stock so many products to enhance your meals or if that’s not your thing how about a gourmet frozen meal. Red Kitchen pies are finally here and proving very popular. We have all the flavours as well as their new 1-2 person servings of desserts.

Fresh stocks of tamarillos are instore. These are just the best around and are priced the same as the last year.
