So we KNOW the right families are benefiting because we work alongside these amazing partners. We appreciate so much all the support that you and your whanau, friends and colleagues can give us. Families are desperate. Kids are cold. 😢
We’ve been absolutely inundated with referrals and requests for bedding in the last two weeks.
Families are desperate. Kids are cold.
We need:
💗Warm blankets( singles mostly..and queens)
💗Sheets
💗Duvet inners ( we have covers)

Plus
💗unisex clothes ( cos we never know if we’ll need boys or girls stuff)
EG: sweat pants, thermal tees, hoodies, bush shirts, sweat shirts -all sizes
(3yrs to 15 yrs needed this week please)

🙃Please NOTE: We Do Not need duvet covers unless the inner comes with them. And we have pillow cases- but no pillows.

When we get a surprise box from ‘Beanies for Babies’ it’s always completely UN surprising to open it to ohhhs and ahhhs. 🥹 Every time- without fail-it’s filled with warm and cosy goodies for babies. The surprise is that we never know when it’s coming! Their knitters are all over the country and their page is filled with the warmth and aroha of real community. We love that these crafters all create from far apart, hardly ever meeting each other, yet in deep connection. It’s very special….. and the boxes once opened spill over with that Manaaki. And then we share it on to our Angel Partner agencies and whānau all over Te Tai Tokerau. 🌸. Beanies for Babies NZ 2019

We’re thrilled to see kids getting active!!!

One made and donated the sweatshirts . Two delivered them.
One hid. 😂

Thanks to Gran, Mum and the ‘one who must not be seen’, other whānau get to enjoy these fun sweats.

If you’d like to help keep kids warm, we really need gumboots, socks, new underwear packs, hot water bottles with covers, and bedding.

Tāne & Rangatahi Wānanga-a very special weekend workshop ( 5-7 June) in the beautiful Hokianga at Marae Whirinaki .

Investing in our people. Inspiring our future. A kaupapa dedicated to empower tāne (men)and rangatahi ( youth) through culture, connection, leadership, wellbeing and whanaungatanga.

We are proud to support our special friend Emma Davis who built this kaupapa in honour of her dear brother who struggled with life and ultimately left this earth, leaving her grieving but determined to take action for all young men.

This is an opportunity for Dads, uncles, mentors and Koro with your young men to find connection, strength and meaning.
