Myanmar Ambassador H.E. U Thant Sin visits the Myanmar Golden Temple in Lumbini Sacred Garden
(30 April and 1 May 2026, Lumbini)

Myanmar Ambassador to Nepal H.E. U Thant Sin, who was in Lumbini for a brief visit to attend "The Ceremony commemorating the 2570th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day 2026" held at the Maya Devi Temple in the Lumbini Sacred Garden, visited the Myanmar Golden Temple on the evening of 30 April and morning of 1 May 2026.
During the visit, the Ambassador inspected the ongoing interior renovations of the prayer room in the Dhamma Hall and paid homage to the Ananda Ordination Hall and the replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda in the compound of Myanmar Golden Temple, and gave necessary guidance and instructions to the religious officers.
In addition, the Ambassador paid respects to Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Bhaddanta Sujanita and Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Bhaddanta Pandita Sayadaws residing at the Myanmar Golden Temple, Lumbini and donated offerings to the Sayadaws.

လုမ္ဗိနီဗုဒ္ဓဥယျာဉ်တော်၊ မယ်‌တော်မာယာကျောင်းတိုက်၌ကျင်းပသည့် The 2570th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day - 2026 (ဗုဒ္ဓနေ့အခမ်းအနား)သို့ တက်ရောက်ရန် လုမ္ဗိနီသို့‌ခေတ္တရောက်ရှိနေသည့် မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးသန့်စင် သည် လုမ္ဗိနီဗုဒ္ဓဥယျာဉ်တော်အတွင်း တည်ဆောက်ထားသည့် မြန်မာရွှေကျောင်းတော်ကြီးသို့ ၃၀-၄-၂၀၂၆ ရက်နေ့ညနေပိုင်းနှင့် ၁-၅-၂၀၂၆ ရက်နေ့ နံနက်ပိုင်းတို့တွင် သွားရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

ထိုသို့သွားရောက်စဉ် သံအမတ်ကြီးသည်မြန်မာရွှေကျောင်းတော်ကြီး၊ ဓမ္မာရုံရှိ ဘုရားခန်းအတွင်းပိုင်းပြင်ဆင်နေမှုအခြေအနေများကို ကြည့်ရှုစစ်ဆေးခြင်း၊ အာနန္ဒာသိမ်နှင့် ရွှေတိဂုံပုံတူစေတီတော်ကြီးအား ဖူးမြော်ခြင်းများဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ပြီး လိုအပ်သည်များကို မှာကြားခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။
ထို့ပြင် သံအမတ်ကြီးသည် ‌မြန်မာရွှေကျောင်းတော်ကြီး၌ သီတင်းသုံးလျက်ရှိသည့်ကျောင်းထိုင်ဆရာတော် အဂ္ဂမဟာသဒ္ဓမ္မ ဇောတိကဓဇ ဘဒ္ဒန္တသုဇနိတနှင့် မဟာသဒ္ဓမ္မဇောတိကဓဇ
ဘဒ္ဒန္တပဏ္ဍိတ တို့ထံ သွားရောက်ကန်တော့၍ လှူဖွယ်ပစ္စည်းများလည်း ဆက်ကပ်လှူဒါန်းခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။

Ambassador H.E. U Thant Sin receives President of Nepal-Myanmar Friendship Council and President of Central Committee of All Myanmar Gorgha Hindu Religious Association and member of Myanmar-Nepal Friendship Council

H.E. U Thant Sin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Nepal received Mr. Shanker Ghimire, President of Nepal-Myanmar Friendship Council and U Maung Win, President of Central Committee of All Myanmar Gorgha Hindu Religious Association and member of Myanmar-Nepal Friendship Council, at Myanmar Embassy on 28 April 2026 at 1445 hrs.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on promoting bilateral trade between Myanmar and Nepal, as well as upgrading mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening collaboration between friendship associations of the two countries.

အခမ်းအနားတွင် ကတ္တမန္ဒူးမြို့ရှိ ရတနာဝိပဿနာကျောင်းတိုက် ဆရာတော် အဂ္ဂမဟာသဒ္ဓမ္မ ဇောတိကဓဇ ဦးသုဇနပ္ပိယ ထံမှ ငါးပါးသီလခံယူဆောက်တည်ခြင်း၊ နှစ်သစ်ကူးအန္တရာယ်ကင်း ပရိတ်တော်နာယူခြင်းများဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ကြပြီး မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီး ဦးသန့်စင် နှင့် မြန်မာသံရုံး ဝန်ထမ်းမိသားစုများက ဆရာတော်ထံ နေ့ဆွမ်းနှင့် လှူဖွယ်ဝတ္ထုများ ဆက်ကပ်လှူဒါန်းခဲ့ကာ ရေစက်ချအမျှပေးဝေခဲ့ကြကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။

Myanmar New Year Paritta Suttas Recitation Ceremony Held in Kathmandu

The Myanmar New Year Paritta Suttas recitation ceremony was held at the Residence of H.E. U Thant Sin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at 1000 am on 26 April 2026.

Venerable Sayataw Agga Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja Baddanta Sujana Piya, the Myanmar residing monk of Ratna Vipassana Vihar Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu graced the ceremony. The ceremony was inaugurated with the three times recitation of Namotasa. Then, the congregation led by the Ambassador received five precepts and Paritta Suttas reciting from the Sayataw.

Ambassador U Thant Sin, Embassy staff and their family members offered alms bowl and donated other offertories to the Sayadaw. The ceremony was concluded after sharing the merits gained.

H.E. U Thant Sin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar received the Vice President of Lumbini Development Trust Dr. Lharkyal Lama at Myanmar Embassy on 23 April 2026 at 1100 hrs.
During the meeting, they discussed matters relating to the “The 2570th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day-2083” Ceremony, which will be held on 1 May 2026, at the Mayadevi Temple in Lumbini Sacred Garden and further enhancing religious cooperation between Myanmar and Nepal.
