The Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Republic of Korea hereby provides the following guidance on the operation of an email submission system for truth verification applications related to overseas adoption, utilizing a dedicated institutional email account in order to improve accessibility for overseas adoptees and their bereaved families residing abroad.
1. Main Information
ㅇ Eligible Applicants: Overseas adoptees residing abroad and their bereaved families (excluding residents in Korea)
ㅇ Submission Method: Submission of application forms and supporting documents via the dedicated email address ([email protected])
ㅇ Required Documents: Truth verification application form, copy of identification document, proof of overseas residence, etc.
ㅇ Procedure: Email submission → Document review → Assignment of application number → Transfer to the investigation department
2. This email submission channel is operated for the purpose of receiving applications and related materials from overseas adoptees and bereaved families residing abroad who experienced human rights violations during the overseas adoption process. Please note that individual case consultations will be provided only on a limited basis, except for confirmation of receipt and requests for supplementary documents.
