Assata inviterer kunstner Rafiki og Mwauke til en samtale omkring mangfoldsalebi og utnyttelsen av svarte kunstnere for sosial kapital. Hvor går grensen mellom eksotifisering og hyllest? Hvilket ansvar har institusjoner overfor svarte kunstnere og deres virke, og hvilket ansvar er det kunstnere selv har? Gjennom samtale og felles refleksjon ønsker vi å få en bedre forståelse av  premissene for bevaring av kulturarv, den afrikanske diasporaens selvforståelse i vesten, samt sette disse temaene i historisk kontekst.

COMMUNITY HEALING: En dialog om kollektiv problemløsning og kulturell samhørighet

Blir den afrikanske erfaringen i Norge fornektet, bagatellisert eller forvrengt? Bli med på en utfordrende samtale der erfarings-empiri får plass og healing kan begynne. Vi samles for å bedre forstå hvilken innvirkning mikroaggresjoner, usynliggjøring, epistemisk urett og anti-svart vold har på de ulike segmentene av det afrikanske miljøet i Norge. Sammen utforsker vi hvordan vi kan bruke kulturelle elementer til å bygge støttende fellesskap basert på omsorg, motstand og solidaritet. Dette blir et trygt rom for refleksjon, gjenopprettelse og radikal fantasi. Din stemme betyr noe – bli med i dialogen.

Dialogen blir ledet av Dr Baba A. O. Buntu.
Buntu er Community Scholar i Sør-Afrika, og har forsknings og formidlingsbakgrunn med fokus på blant annet epistemisk urett, kultur-forankring, maskulinitet og Afrika-vitenskap. På 90-tallet started han Afrikan Youth In Norway.
