Jonge Europese Federalisten Utrecht

Voor jongeren die een democratisch en federaal Europa willen! JEF is een supranationale politieke jeugdbeweging die actief is in de meeste Europese landen.

Wij zijn onafhankelijk van politieke partijen of andere politieke bewegingen. JEF participeert in de uitwisseling van ideeën met verscheidene andere politieke bewegingen, maar associeert zich niet met een specifieke politieke stroming. De gesprekspartners van JEF zijn politieke partijen, instituties en verenigingen op het Europese, nationale en lokale niveau, maar ook de gewone burger. JEF is daar

om een politieke beweging, maar geen partij. JEF is niet geïnteresseerd in het verkrijgen van politieke macht, maar concentreert zich op het realiseren van internationale democratie door het oprichten van federale structuren zowel in Europa als elders. Wij zetten ons in voor de oprichting van een Europese Federatie om zo een vrijere, meer rechtvaardige en democratische samenleving te bewerkstelligen.

The Young European Federalists is a supranational, political movement active in most European countries. It is an autonomous youth organisation which has no party political affiliations or commitments. It participates in the exchange of opinions and experiences with other political movements, but will not identify with any of them. JEF's interlocutors are political parties, European, national and local institutions and associations, as well as the general public. In this sense JEF is a political movement, but not a party. JEF is not interested in the direct management of political power: it concentrates its action on the achievement of international democracy through the establishment of federal systems in Europe and in the world. The aims of JEF are to work for the creation of a European Federation, first step towards peace and World Federation, and for a freer, more just and more democratic federal society.

Today was Ioan's last day in the office as our Secretary-General. We would like to say thank you for your fantastic work, for the dedication you have shown and for living the JEF-spirit. Toen Stephan Sanders een kind was kende Europa echt andere landen. Nu, op reis, daagt het hem: tijdens zijn leven is zoiets als een Europees volk ontstaan.
