Prachtige kunst
One of my latest pastels featuring the beautiful Exmoor Pony Project ponies; stallion Bear, mother Maisie (who is sadly no longer with us), and little Killimanjaro.
This was done from a photo that I took a few years ago but that has been calling to me ever since. Sometimes you just have to wait for the right time to paint a subject.
This was a very special moment when the three of them came together. I loved the fact that they looked so strong and their shapes were so beautiful against the light. And of course the tenderness and protectiveness of that moment.
Feeling very privileged to have been there and then had the opportunity to capture them.
It’s not for sale as it will soon be on its way to a new home. Thank you Westcott for so much help and inspiration x
