The National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Chapter, sincerely expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the Yobe State Scholarship Board (YSSB) for the successful conduct of the two-day scholarship screening exercise and the commencement of the payment of the local scholarship to eligible students.

We are especially grateful to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, for his unwavering commitment to supporting education and empowering Yobe State students through the scholarship scheme.

We also commend the Chairman, management, and staff of the Yobe State Scholarship Board for ensuring a smooth, transparent, and efficient screening process.

This timely intervention has brought relief and encouragement to many students, inspiring us to remain dedicated to our academic pursuits.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!

This is to inform all applicants that the screening exercise will commence tomorrow at the ABU SRC Secretariat, Samaru Main Campus.

All applicants are advised to come along with the required documents for the screening. However, if you are unavoidably absent, you may send your documents through a trusted representative to complete the process on your behalf.

Applicants are also reminded to come along with the sum of ₦2,000 as dues, which will be collected at the venue.

Your cooperation and punctuality are highly appreciated.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Update on the Scholarship Screening Exercise

This is to inform all applicants that the scholarship screening exercise is expected to take place between 17th and 23rd July, 2026 as released by the board.

Applicants are advised to remain calm and patient. The exact date, time, and venue for our screening exercise will be communicated soon.

In the meantime, all applicants should ensure they have the following documents readily available:

- Application Slip
- Admission Letter
- Certificate/Letter of Indigeneship
- NUYOSS ABU dues receipt ( to be obtained at the screening venue)
