APC Professionals Forum-APF Adamawa State wishes to congratulate his Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru On his emergence as the APC Senatorial Candidate representing the Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone. DATES FOR APC 2027 PRIMARY ELECTIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED

As earlier announced, the Primary Elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will hold as follows:

• House of Representatives — Friday, 15th May, 2026

• Senate — Monday, 18th May, 2026

• State House of Assembly — Wednesday, 20th May, 2026

• Governorship — Thursday, 21st May, 2026

• Presidential — Saturday, 23rd May, 2026

Breaking News

The APC Screening Committee for Sitting Governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats is chaired by the Party's National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, while the APC National Secretary, Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D, serves as Secretary. Other members of the Committee include members of the National Working Committee (NWC).

The screening exercise for incumbent governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats will hold from Friday, May 8 to Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Plateau State Governors Lodge. Proceedings commence at 4:00 PM on the first day and 10:00 AM on the second day.

The screening for all other governorship aspirants is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the NWC Hall, APC National Secretariat, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 AM daily.

APC EXTENDS ASPIRANTS’ FORMS SALE AND SUBMISSION DEADLINES, ADJUSTS SCREENING DATES FOR 2027 ELECTIONS

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved a further extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of completed aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the screening process for the 2027 General Elections.

Key Extensions:

• Sale of Forms: Extended to midnight, Wednesday, 6th May 2026

• Submission of Forms: Extended to midnight, Thursday, 7th May 2026

• Screening of Aspirants: Friday, 8th May 2026 – Tuesday, 12th May 2026

• Publication of Screened Aspirants: Wednesday, 13th May 2026

Under the leadership of His Excellency President Ahmad Bola Tinibu, a strategic shift in the nation's economic paradigm was achieved, driving both economic and socio-economic advancement. With his background as a skilled technocrat and astute politician, President Tinibu brought a wealth of experience in public service, allowing him to grasp the intricacies of the country's economic landscape and implement effective policies that catalyzed significant progress.

His Excellency Ahmad Bola Tinubu being a account, technocrat and exceptional seasoned politician with huge experience in public services that gave an advantages to thoroughly understood the heterogenous economy challenges confronting the country, that is why his government focus on making strong and effective policies which under his leadership, the country underwent a remarkable transformation within a very short period of time.

Economically, president Ahmad Bola Tinubu focused on industrialization and attracting foreign investment. He created a stable and business-friendly environment that encouraged multinational companies to set up operations in across all the region of the country, by promoting export-oriented industries and maintaining strict financial discipline, Nigeria achieved rapid economic growth, rising from a low-income nation to a high-income economy within a few years.

Healthcare and social services were strengthened, and policies were designed to promote racial harmony in country diverse society. Anti-corruption measures were strictly enforced, making the government efficient and trustworthy, which further boosted investor confidence and public trust.
His Excellency President Ahmad Bola Tinubu leadership combined strong governance with long-term planning. While some critics point to his strict political control, his policies undeniably led to sustained economic growth, reduced poverty, and improved quality of life for millions of Nigeria.

It's Undoubtedly, president Ahmad Bola Tinubu stands out as a leader who successfully integrated economic strategies with social development policies, creating a balanced model of national progress that continues to influence countries in African most especially within sub Sahara nations.
