POCACOV Adamawa State Command in collaboration with PCRC Zone 3 Conducts School Sensitization Program and Crime Prevention Awareness at Capital Government Day Secondary School, Yola.

As part of its unwavering commitment to crime prevention, youth development, and community engagement, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Adamawa State Command, conducted a comprehensive school sensitization programme at Capital Government Day Secondary School, Yola.

The sensitization programme featured an extensive and interactive lecture delivered by officers of POCACOV, focusing on critical issues affecting today’s youth. Students were educated on the dangers of drug abuse, cultism, shila (boys) gangsterism, cybercrimes, examination malpractice and other forms of social vices. They were also enlightened on the importance of discipline, responsible decision-making, respect for the rule of law, and the need to become positive ambassadors of their families, schools, and communities.

The lecture emphasized that crime prevention begins with awareness and informed choices. Students were encouraged to avoid negative peer influence, report suspicious activities, and embrace values such as integrity, hard work, and patriotism.

POCACOV Adamawa State appreciates the management and staff of Capital Government Day Secondary School, for their warm reception and cooperation in promoting a safe and conducive learning environment.

The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Hassan Kabir Umar fdc, reaffirmed the command's commitment to partners with educational institutions and other stakeholders to build a crime-free society through continuous sensitization and community policing initiatives.
