Post-Match Victory Address by the Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Council, Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jagga, on the Ongoing Governor’s Cup in Lafia, Nasarawa State

Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jagga, Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Council, delivered a victory address following his team’s recent success in the ongoing Governor’s Cup in Lafia. The Chairman extended his profound gratitude to the players for their exceptional performance against Karu, by beating them 1- 0. He notably reflected that Karu had defeated Wamba in the previous tournament, making this victory particularly significant.

Hon. Jagga emphasized that this achievement would not have been possible without the diligent efforts of the team’s management crew. He cautioned, however, that this win is merely a beginning, noting that while Wamba secured a one-goal advantage, Karu had scored six goals in their campaign. The Chairman urged his side to intensify their efforts, stressing that victory in their next match against Kokona is essential to guarantee progression to the next stage of the competition. He specifically directed the coach to focus on leading the team to success in the upcoming fixture. To ensure adequate preparation, the Chairman has directed the players to remain in Lafia.

In fulfillment of a promise made during the team’s farewell in Wamba, the Chairman announced financial rewards for key contributors. Ayuba, who scored the decisive goal, received ten thousand Naira (₦10,000), while Meshack, who provided the assist, was awarded five thousand Naira (₦5,000). Furthermore, a performance bonus of fifty thousand Naira (₦50,000) was granted to the entire squad, with an additional twenty thousand Naira (₦20,000) allocated to the management team.

The Executive Chairman was accompanied by his Deputy, the Council Speaker, the Councilor for Gitta Ward, the Supervisory Councilor for Works, the Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) for Sports, Information, and Communications, alongside other officials of Wamba Local Government.

One of the Highlights of the game was the presentation of the certificate of Man of the Match Award to Amos Meshake by the executive Chairman.

Today, the Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Council, Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jagga, visited the Wamba Football Club (Team Wamba) The team is set to represent Wamba Local Government in the ongoing Governor’s Cup in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital. The Chairman stated that the purpose of his visit was to offer words of encouragement and demonstrate his support to the team. He urged the players to take the competition seriously and to avoid unnecessary personal grievances both on and off the field.

The Chairman also announced cash incentives for the players: five thousand Naira (₦5,000) for each goal assist, and ten thousand Naira (₦10,000) for every goal scored.

In response, Abdullahi Naira, a member of the team management, thanked the Council Chairman for his visit. He noted that this marked the first time in Wamba's history that a sitting chairman had visited the team in such a manner and assured that the gesture would not be taken for granted.

In the spirit of Christmas, the Chairman also presented the players with a cash gift as part of the festive celebration.

The visit was attended by the Council Deputy Chairman, the SSA on Sports, the SSA on Information to the Chairman, and the State APC Deputy Chairman.
Wamba Team will take on Karu Team Tomorrow the 28th December, 2025 at the Lafia Township Stadium by 10 in the morning .

Good afternoon.

Your Excellency, when you were sworn in as the 4th civilian Governor of Nasarawa State on the 29th May 2019, in your first tenure, you set the agenda clearly for your leadership, prioritized key issues, and inspired hope for positive change. This period was crucial for addressing pressing challenges like economic growth, security, or social welfare, building trust, engaging with citizens, fostering transparency, and demonstrating commitment to accountability as well as initiating policies that tackle systemic issues and mobilizing support of the public behind your vision. It was a moment to communicate your agenda clearly, and lay the groundwork for impactful governance. This was chronicled in your inaugural speech on 19th May 2019;

"We will uphold the principles of good governance as a cardinal objective of this administration; we will establish systems, processes, and institutions that will enhance transparency, probity and accountability in the Management of the state resources in line with international best Practices"

Indeed, the policies and programs, promised in your first tenure were successfully executed, exceeding all expectations. Your Excellency, time would not allow me to mention them here.

Your Excellency, two (2) years into your second tenure, your visionary leadership has translated into an unprecedented achievement, marked by notable progress in key areas. This milestone reflects continued commitment to growth, driving initiatives that boost economic resilience, innovation, and infrastructure development, enhanced public trust, Strengthening transparency, accountability, and engagement with citizens. Transformational reforms, pushing boundaries in sectors like education, healthcare, or technology to improve lives. Inspiring a legacy, setting a benchmark for future leaders and empowering the next generation. Your achievements serve as a testament for even greater impact ahead.

Your Excellency, when you came on the 5th of December 2025 to flag off Gbude-Nakere road construction, I had the privilege to address you as an apostle of infrastructure development in Nasarawa state, and in admiration of your exemplary leadership, declared myself as your disciple, hence on the 4th of November 2024, when I was inaugurated as the Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Council, my focus has been on the Transformational reforms, pushing boundaries in sectors like education, health care, agriculture, security and social welfare of the people of Wamba Local Government Area.

Today, emulating your exemplary leadership, I am privileged and proud to mention before you, some of my achievements in office for the past one year including my one hundred days in office as follows:

· Purchased beds/beddings for our Primary Health Care clinics;
· Renovation of the vaccine cold room;

· Establishment of large acres of farm land for the production of rice, maize, cassava e.t.c to enhance food security;
· Purchased fertilizers, herbicides and other farming implements for food production;
· Purchased concrete electric poles and wires to reconnect Mama and Kwara communities with electricity;
· Purchase of new Corolla vehicle engine, refurbished Hilux and bus for the Legislative Arm;
· Purchased and installed 15 No. solar panels (light) within the Local Government Secretariat;
· Drilled and installed solar borehole in each of the ten (10) electoral Wards in the Local Government Area;
· Empowered four hundred (400) youths (male and female) in various skill acquisitions within the Local Government Area;
Your Excellency, just as you have championed landmark projects as your legacy, I am proud to say that this legislative office building represents my own legacy project at the local government level, aimed at enhancing governance and service delivery in our community.

This Legislative office complex is a milestone in our pursuit of strengthened local governance. It is a symbol of our commitment to democratic values, transparency, and citizen engagement at the grassroots level. I assure you that we will continue to work tirelessly to bring development, progress, and prosperity to our community.

Let me at this point, express my heartfelt gratitude to our governor for releasing funds timely, enabling us to complete this project. Your Excellency, your support has not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for your vision for our State and Local Government. Your Excellency, as it reads in the Holy Book:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

We, the people of Wamba Local Government Area, will continue to knock on your door, until you open, and answer our clarion call to contest for the Nasarawa North Senatorial seat come 2027. This is not political rhetoric; it is a passionate clarion call to continue to serve humanity.
Your Excellency, I want to use this opportunity to thank the Legislative Council, traditional rulers, security agencies, Political appointees, management and staff of the Wamba Local Government Council, and the entire people of Wamba Local Government Area for their cooperation, support and belief in the administration.

On this note, it is my singular honour and privilege to humbly invite His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Dokajin Wamba to;

a. Launch the newly developed Wamba Local Government Area website.
b.Commission this new Legislative office complex, marking a new chapter in our collective effort to enhance democratic governance.

NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF THE COMMISSIONING OF WAMBA MINI LEGISLATIVE COMPLEX!

The Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Area, Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jagga, regrets to announce that the commissioning of the Mini Legislative Complex, previously scheduled to take place on Friday, 12th December, 2025, has been postponed until further notice.

The decision to postpone the event was taken due to unforeseen circumstances, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate the interest and enthusiasm shown by the general public, and we look forward to sharing the new date and time of the commissioning ceremony with you in due course.

We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter, and we assure you that the event will be rescheduled at the earliest possible opportunity.

INVITATION

Earlier today the Executive Chairman Wamba Local Government Council, Hon Ezekiel Musa Jagga hosted the Gitta Youth Forum (GYF) under the leadership of Mr. Tanze Manga, the President of the forum.

According to Mr. Tanze Manga, the aim of their visit was to congratulate the Chairman on his first anniversary in office.
The forum also appreciated some of the laudable projects executed by the Executive Chairman especially the construction of the ultramodern Legislative Complex which will be the first of its kind in Nasarawa State. They prayed that the rest of his years in office will be even more prosperous and peaceful.

The GYF also accompanied the Executive Chairman and the contractor handling the legislative complex project, Mr. Moses Jikka McDaniel to inspect the work going on at the legislative complex. Among the things inspected are some tables, chairs and furniture that just came in.

Earlier, the APC Chairman, Wamba Local Government Area was at the Wamba LGC Secretariat to show the Executive Chairman a car that was given to him by the Honourable Member representing Wamba at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly l, Hon. Emmanuel Manding. The APC Chairman sought the Chairman's prayer upon the car gift.

In his response the Chairman appreciated the Gitta Youth Forum, Mr. Moses Jikka McDaniel the contractor for their visit and also rejoiced with the APC Chairman over the car gift and prayed that God should always take charge and control.

The Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government Council, Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jagga, approved the renovation of vaccine cold room in Wamba where immunization supply and vaccines are stored.
During the visit, the chairman, who was also the former Director of Health, stressed on the urgent need for the renovation, noting that “health is wealth.”
While on the tour, he visited the family of Sir, Ajaji to pay his condolences on the demise of their brother. In the same way, he also visited the family of Ishaku Bala Uguri to console them on the death of their brother, who passed away yesterday. He then proceeded to the new Market to inspect the indiscriminate dumping of waste, and directed the immediate clearing and evacuation of refuse from the other market square.

The Executive Chairman of Wamba Local Government played host to the Wamba Youth Forum and the Nigeria Hunters Forest Security Service.

The Nigeria Hunters Forest Security Service, Wamba Branch, led by Commander Muazu Sule, visited the Chairman at the council secretariat. The aim of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the Executive Chairman and to congratulate him on completing one year of purposeful leadership in office.

Meanwhile, the Wamba Youth Forum, led by its President, Hon. Rilwan M. Kwarra, also paid a courtesy visit. In his presentation, the President stated that the purpose of the visit was to felicitate with the Chairman on marking one year in office. He sought partnership with the Chairman for synergy and collaboration toward the development of Wamba Local Government.

Additionally, the President of the Youth Forum appealed to the Chairman to continue supporting the group in the smooth running of its activities. He also pleaded with the Chairman to consider creating income-generating opportunities for the youth. Furthermore, the President pledged the forum's full support to ensure the Chairman's success.

At the end of the event, the forum presented an Award of Excellence to the Chairman.
In response, the Executive Chairman promised to support any good ideas from the forum. He directed the President to meet with his executive members and prepare a budget for their activities for the coming year, as he intended to include it in the local government’s budget for the next year. He urged the youth to be good ambassadors.

Executive Chairman Hosts His New Appointees and APC Party Chairman.
A group of newly appointed Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to the Executive Chairman paid him a courtesy visit today the 10th of November, 2025 in his office. Speaking on behave of the appointees, Pastor Paul Makpa who was the leader of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and the opportunity to serve in his administration. They also congratulated the Chairman on his first year in office. The Chairman thanked the appointees for their visit and task them to be good ambassadors of his administration.
In a separate visit, The Chairman also received the APC Party Chairman, Wamba local Government. Mr, Ibrahim Akunu, Akunu says the visit is to commend the Executive Chairman for his exceptional achievements within his first year and offered his prayers for continued wisdom and guidance.

Furthermore, the Executive Chairman, accompanied by his team, paid his respects to two families grieving the loss of loved ones.
He visited the family of Kabiru Abbas, the Supervisory Councilor for Health, following the passing of his mother. And also offered condolences to the family of Ali Roxy.
