Renewed Hope Initiative Expands Beyond A’Ibom, Berths in Cross River
The Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative has taken its mobilisation drive beyond Akwa Ibom State, formally establishing a presence in neighbouring Cross River State with the inauguration of its chapter in Calabar.
The expansion marks a significant step in the group’s effort to broaden its influence, anchored on its core ideals of love, unity and collective progress.
At the inauguration ceremony held, Tuesday 24th March, 2026 in Calabar, the Cross River capital, the President General, Uwem Okoko, alongside the International Coordinator, Sir Udo Kierian Akpan, formally constituted the state’s executive and advisory council members.
Leading the newly inaugurated Cross River Chapter are Bishop Emma Isong as Chairman and Evangelist Helen Ukpabio as Co-Chairman, a development expected to strengthen the initiative’s grassroots reach within the state.
In their message of acceptance, the Co-Chairmen, Bishop Emah Isong and Apostle Helen Ukpabio commended the leadership of the movement for the confidence reposed in them, and pledged their unalloyed support to the success of the initiative.
On his part, the Chapter Coordinator of the initiative in Cross River State, Ukai Ubong Sam assured of a resounding victory for APC in the forthcoming election.
Other members of the Cross River State chapter coordinating committee include; Elder Ini Ekong, Deputy Coordinator, Rev. Dr. Christopher Ekpo, Secretary, Miss Uwemedimo Japhet, Mkpisong Saviour Japhet, Iniobong Ema, and Prisca Okon, Welfare Officer, Bishop Kufre Umoh, Asst Publicity Secretary, Rev. Victor Udoh

The Advisory Committee has Joseph James, Ita Oboho, Apostle Emmanuel Ekwere, Elder Ime T. Ekpo, Elder Itoro Imona, Sir. Udo Okon Bassey, Prof. Antia Obong among others.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Prof. Abia Bassey, Sir. Udo Okon Bassey, Head of Hausa/Fulani community in Cross River State, Sarki Alhaji Garba Lawan, Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on None Indigene Affairs, Maazi Oke Madwueke, Leader of Edo community, Prince Fidelis Obuh, Leader of Ibibio community, Prof. Antia Obong, Bishop Atim Ita and Leader of Añnáñg community, Sir. Collins Udoaka, among others.
