ABAK FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY STANDS STILL FOR THE NEXT GOVERNOR

Today marked yet another milestone in the political ascendancy of Obong Umana Okon Umana’s gubernatorial aspiration as the power brokers of Abak Federal Constituency, popularly known as “Abak 5” comprising Abak, Oruk Anam, Ukanafun, Ika and Etim Ekpo LGAs converged at Abak to publicly and unanimously declare their undiluted support for Obong Umana Okon Umana.

The people of Abak Federal Constituency boldly noted that Obong Umana Okon Umana is the embodiment of hope that will heal the frayed ethnic ties and restore unity among the various ethnicities in our beloved state. Further, they expressed in very strong terms their firm resolve to ensure that Abak Federal Constituency produces the next Senator for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

Similarly, the leaders and major stakeholders from Ini and Ikono LGAs affirmed their resolve to join hands with their “Abak 5” kindred to enthrone Obong Umana Okon Umana as Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State come May 29, 2015.

This development highlights several important facts; first, it confirms that Obong Umana commands the unswerving respect and confidence of Akwa Ibom people from across the 3 senatorial district, which explains why his campaign slogan is “Umbrella of Unity”.

Second, that Akwa Ibom people consider Obong Umana Okon Umana as the peoples’ choice.

Finally, that our people are stoutly opposed to imposition and will do the needful to safeguard their collective wellbeing by ensuring that the will of the people prevails. Any wonder why Obong Umana Okon Umana is fondly referred to as the “Next Governor”?
