⚽ Final Kick: Coastal Allstars Honour Late Chief Nseabasi John Udo Ikott

Kingsley Udoka (Justmi) |30th April, 2026

In a touching tribute steeped in football, brotherhood, and remembrance, the Coastal Allstars SC Onna family stepped onto the pitch to celebrate the life of a man who loved the beautiful game.

Led by club President, Tpl Itiat Itiat, the team made the heartfelt journey to St. John Lutheran Primary School, Okat, Onna, for a novelty match against the Federated Okat Football Team — a fitting farewell to the father of former Team Manager, Mr. Aniefiok Nse Ikott.

The occasion was graced with dignity as Mr. Aniefiok Nse Ikott performed the ceremonial kickoff, flanked by Elder (Hon.) Kingsley Johnny and Elder (Prince) Godwin Udonsek. From the first whistle, both sides delivered a masterclass in football artistry — a performance worthy of the great man being honoured. It was Comrade Emmanuel James, popularly known as Device, who etched his name into the moment with the only goal of the game.

At a warm gathering at the Ikott family residence, Tpl Itiat after signing the condolences register, commended both teams for their spirited display and the impressive turnout that showed just how loved and respected Chief Nseabasi John Udo Ikott truly was. "He was a true friend of this club," Tpl Itiat said — words that spoke volumes.

Mr. Aniefiok Ikott, visibly moved, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club for their show of love and solidarity, and generously presented refreshments to the delight of all in attendance. He extended a warm invitation to members to join the family for the burial proper, scheduled for Saturday, 2nd May 2026, at the same venue.

A club that plays together, grieves together, and honours together.

Coastal Allstars — for the love of the game!
