ACROSS THE CHAPTERS : A Recap Series

3.0 — The Uruan, Nsit Atai & Ibesikpo Asutan Perspective

“Hensek tell me something o…
Hensek tell me something o…
If you de follow Umo Eno, no follow corner corner…
Hensek tell me something o…”

From Uruan to Nsit Atai and Ibesikpo Asutan, the song kept rising from the crowd at different intervals. Sometimes from the women. Sometimes from the youths. Sometimes from elders seated quietly at the front before suddenly joining in. Before long, it became more than just a chant — it became the unofficial rhythm of the gatherings.

And truthfully, the message was simple and direct.

The people were openly expressing their confidence in Governor Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D., while also reaffirming their acceptance of the President General, Engr Uwem Okoko FNSE and the Initiative itself. In their own language and style, they repeatedly echoed one message: support should be open, sincere and without divided loyalty — no “corner corner.”

That atmosphere naturally reflected across the different venues visited within Uyo Federal Constituency. The gatherings remained lively, peaceful and deeply participatory, with visible unity among stakeholders, supporters and community members across the three chapters.

There were moments the President General himself flowed freely with the crowd, singing jubilantly alongside supporters in an atmosphere that felt more like a family gathering than a formal political event.

Beyond the excitement and music however, the attendance, reception and participation all pointed clearly to one thing: the Initiative continues to enjoy visible grassroots acceptance.

The songs carried a wider political message.

They echoed in support of the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our dear Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, and also reflected growing political confidence from the people towards the continued leadership of the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for stability and continuity at the national level.

At the chapter level, the Initiative is coordinated by:

• Hon. (Surv.) Iniobong Ekpenyong — Coordinator, Uruan Chapter

• Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong — Coordinator, Nsit Atai Chapter

• Hon. Edidiong Inyang (Murphy) — Coordinator, Ibesikpo Asutan Chapter

And across the chapters visited, the message from the people remained consistent:

support without hesitation,
support without division,
support without corner corner.

ACROSS THE CHAPTERS : A Recap Series

2.0 — The Mbo, Udung Uko & Oron Perspective

As the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative moved through Mbo, Udung Uko and Oron Local Government Areas on February 24, 2026, the Directorate of Research & Documentation observed a remarkable blend of coordination, cultural pride and striking uniformity among participants.

From colourful regalia to coordinated attire and traditional displays, the Oron Federal Constituency chapter inaugurations reflected a people deeply connected to their heritage and visibly appreciative of purposeful leadership.

One cultural symbol stood out prominently throughout the engagements:
the Iyara — the famous red cap regarded as a strong symbol of honour, authority and identity among the Oro people.

Historically linked to the revered Ekung society, the Iyara remains one of the most recognizable cultural symbols of the Oron Nation, often associated with bravery, prestige and leadership. Across the venues visited, the sight of men proudly adorned in the symbolic red cap added a distinct cultural elegance and identity to the inauguration atmosphere.

Even the President General of the Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, FNSE, could not help but acknowledge the unique cultural presence displayed throughout the engagements.

The Directorate further observed that the overwhelming participation and colourful atmosphere created by both women and men groups across the Oro axis may be connected to the growing appreciation surrounding Governor Pastor Umo Eno’s infrastructural interventions within the area, particularly the dualization of the Uyo–Nsit Atai–Okobo–Oron Road — an intervention many residents consider visible evidence of the Governor’s love and commitment towards the Oro people.

As the home constituency of the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, the Oron Federal Constituency also demonstrated strong alignment and visible support for the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor, Pastor Umo Eno

To steer the affairs of the Initiative across the chapters, the following persons were appointed:

- Barr. Effiong Asuquo Ating — Coordinator, Mbo Chapter
- Hon. Asuquo Enwerem — Coordinator, Oron Chapter
- Hon. (Elder) Godwin Okponung — Coordinator, Udung Uko Chapter.

ACROSS THE CHAPTERS: A Recap Series

2.0 — The Ika, Etim Ekpo & Abak Perspective

Have you ever seen a first day that felt like the eleventh?

On February 19, 2026, the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative made its historic first outing, moving through Ika, Etim Ekpo, and Abak Local Government Areas with an atmosphere that immediately signaled strong grassroots acceptance.

One moment particularly captured the attention of the Directorate of Research & Documentation.

Amid chants, celebration, and visible excitement across these chapters, female youth, ranked among the most vibrant support groups proudly waved banners bearing the bold inscription:

“COMMITTED & USEFUL.”

More than a slogan, the message reflected a growing culture of participation, inclusion, and loyalty among young supporters who continue to identify with the people-driven leadership style of our Clergy Governor, Pastor Umo Eno

The energy was unmistakable.
The reception was organic.
And the movement already felt larger than a first outing.

What began as an inauguration tour was gradually evolving into a movement carried by people, voices, and conviction.

And this was only Day One…
yet already feeling like the eleventh.

To steer the affairs of the Initiative across the chapters, the following persons were appointed:

- Hon. (Barr.) Utibe Nwoko — Coordinator, Ika Chapter
- Hon. Imaeyen Adolphus — Coordinator, Etim Ekpo Chapter
- Hon. (Barr.) Emmanuel Udosen, PhD — Coordinator, Abak Chapter

ACROSS THE CHAPTERS: ARISE WITH RENEWED HOPE RECAP SERIES

The Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative was established with a clear mandate: to build a strong and effective grassroots structure for the mobilization of support for our leaders; President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor, Pastor Umo Eno PhD.

To achieve this, Led by the Initiative's President General, Engr Uwem Okoko,FNSE, we moved across all 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, ensuring that the Renewed Hope and Arise agendas were deeply rooted in every ward and community.

In addition to Akwa Ibom State, the movement also extended to key strategic chapters outside the state, including Cross River State, Rivers State, Lagos State, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, strengthening the reach and unity of the vision across regions.

With all 31 LGA chapters and these external chapters now successfully inaugurated, the structure is firm, and the movement is fully energized.

However, beyond the structure lies the story, the faces, the voices, the gatherings, and the shared conviction that defined each stop along the journey. These moments deserve to be preserved.

It is on this backdrop that the Directorate of Research & Documentation led by Elder Ini Obot, proudly presents “ACROSS THE CHAPTERS: ARISE WITH RENEWED HOPE RECAP SERIES”, a historical documentation of our statewide and nationwide mobilization efforts.

In the coming days, we will release dedicated spotlights for each Local Government Area and external chapter, capturing the atmosphere, key milestones, and the visible impact of governance conversations at the grassroots.

We invite you to retrace this journey with us as we celebrate the successful completion of this expansive tour.

ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative : Ini Obot Reviews Governance Strides and Political Outlook in Akwa Ibom

The Director of Research and Documentation, ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative, Elder Ini Obot, has given insights on the governance strides of the Akwa Ibom State Governor and provided broader clarity on the objectives of the initiative.

He explained that the ARISE with Renewed Hope Initiative is aimed at mobilising grassroots support to ensure that the electorate consolidate the gains of democracy and return President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for continued governance and development.

Speaking on the programme Good Morning Akwa Ibom on Bridge Media, Memories FM, hosted by ace journalist and leader, Hon. He also noted interventions in other critical areas of governance designed to enhance overall living standards.

According to him, these efforts reflect a leadership style that is intentional and people-focused, impacting virtually every facet of life in the state.

ObongUnwana Ini Obot also referenced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, noting that it has continued to implement policies aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians. Elder Obot also extended goodwill to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the initiative remains committed to supporting all candidates that emerge from the party’s primaries in order to ensure a decisive electoral victory. He noted that, in his view, APC remains the dominant political force in the state.

He concluded that the combined leadership of President Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno represents a strong alignment that has positively influenced governance outcomes and public engagement across Akwa Ibom State.
