Is the Nigerian Democracy working?

It's obviously obvious that it is not working. For democracy to work in Nigeria there must be a home grown version that is in agreement with the community system of governance that the people are comfortable with. Otherwise the rot of leadership deficiency will continue unabated.

There's a basic level of citizenship awareness and civic know-how which must be sin qua non for the borrowed system of democracy we practice to function well.

Nigeria is a Country whose citizens conspire and collude with politicians and civil servants to destroy and damage. There is no awareness of individual responsibilities to challenge the system that robs them blind. They rather conspire to rob themselves with many getting little or no share in the proceeds of the collective robbery that they wittingly participate in and condone through their indolence.

Less than 1% of the population, take everything of the stolen national wealth and become the so-called elites sending their children to elite schools in Nigeria and abroad, leaving their co-conspirators behind to sing their praises and service their acquisitive propensities.

Brethren,

Build the people around you for your greater tomorrow, for nothing makes life sweeter than making other people happy. The people you help today become your soldiers in the battles of life tomorrow.

To invest in properties is good but to invest in people is by far more valuable than those things you acquire for yourself alone. Make money, but also endeavour to make people for your greatest trophies are the tears you wipe away from the faces of people.

Your greatest achievement lies in the achievers you mentor and raise to greatness. People will always defend, stand by you and honour you when they realize your great value to them.

Don't let ingrates stop or deter you from making others great. The ingrates are weaving their negative Karmaic threads. Do not let them weave negative consequences for you. Thread your path as willed by your creator.

Make Una chill a bit on this USA Election na.
No one has officially been declared the President-Elect of the USA. The media projection of Biden as the winner could eventually turn out so or otherwise as has happened in the recent past with Al Gore and Bush.

Not later than December 14, Electors across the 50 States will cast their States Electoral votes for the winner after which the States will Certify their results.

Until this is done there can be no official declaration and there is none yet on this election.

The American Electoral system is subject to processes and procedures and not just mere media projections.

Those celebrating already should chill.

LEADER'S ARE SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE & NOT OWNER'S OF THE PUBLIC ESTATE.

The Earth belongs to the Lord, not to human kind. Therefore, leaders should never act as if they own the public estate and the people their subjects . Leaders must remember that they are stewards not owners. They merely manage what the Lord has established based on his values for his people.

Two Minerals found in Nigeria. Solid Mineral (Gold) & Liquid Mineral (Crude Oil), covered by two different laws and regulations in this "one Nigeria".

A glaringly clear reality is that the minerals in the North belongs to those in whose area it occurs and as such they have the exclusive rights to mine them while on the other hand what is found in the south belongs to the Federal Government.

That is the contradiction in this Country. Like Oil, solid minerals is supposed to be owned by the Federal Government and any proceeds/benefits from it is supposed to go into the Federation Account to be distributed to the various tiers of government in line with the existing Revenue Allocation formula. What do we have? The Niger Delta oil is for the whole country while the Gold in Zamfara State for example is for the State government and maybe some privildged fat cats from there. Even then, there is a lot of illegal mining going on in the States that have these minerals in abundance including some States in the South like Osun State.

The Federal Government is quite aware of this but chooses to look the other way. This is what the Niger Delta boys see that inspires them to continue with their bunkering activities.

One Nigeria indeed.
No wonder the strident calls for restructuring and separation.

Who did this to Us?
Imagine this perspective:

What John Zibiri said about Nigeria. (In quotes other paraphrases are edited)

"I worked and lived in Abuja for 18 years. I ran my own private company from 2001 until 2014".

"Two million of the likes of Buhari cannot change Nigeria".

๐Ÿ•น"Everything is wrong with Nigeria".

๐Ÿ“"The Director won't give you contract except you pay up front" .

๐Ÿ“"The banks won't give you loan except you concede a certain percentage."

๐Ÿšฉ"The man supervising the contract won't pass the job except you play ball."
๐Ÿšฉ"The clerk won't pass your file for payment except you rob his palm."
๐Ÿšฉ"The accounts department won't raise your payment voucher or cheque unless you see them. I can go on and on."

๐Ÿ“"The worst thing is that it has become a norm that nobody sees anything wrong with."

๐Ÿšฉ "If you think otherwise, they begin to think you are sick and not normal."

๐Ÿ“"If you try to stand in their way, you put your life at risk."

๐Ÿšฉ"If you get killed there is no justice system in place to seek redress and bring the perpetrators to book."

๐Ÿ“"The police is corrupt , the Judiciary is the same."

๐Ÿšฉ"Even the religious circle is not spared."

๐Ÿ“"Everything in Nigeria revolves around corruption."

๐Ÿšฉ"Nobody cares about anybody. No law and order."

๐Ÿšฉ "I looked from my left to right, everybody is only desperate about one thing "money"."

๐Ÿ“"They will kill anybody and anything that stand between them and money."

๐Ÿšฉ"I am an electrical engineer with MNSE and COREN. The system don't care about my qualifications."

๐Ÿšฉ"Distribution and transmission jobs are given to alhajis, pastors, friends and relatives without any basic skills."

๐Ÿšฉ"I started asking myself, how do I convince my kids that education and hard work is rewarding?"

๐Ÿ™ˆWhen fools, agberos and touts are jostling to run the society at every level shoving the best materials for governance aside.

๐ŸšฉIs this what my children will also go through?

๐Ÿšฉ"Don't put yourself in harm way for any reason."

๐Ÿšฉ"The problem of Nigeria is in the hands of Nigerians living in Nigeria."

๐Ÿ™‰"Try starting a gate house in your village, everybody wants to profiteer from it. The bricklayer, the carpenter, the mason and even your brother who claim to be supervising on your behalf."

๐Ÿšฉ"They are corrupt, morally bankrupt and selfish."

๐Ÿšฉ "Everybody there thinks about himself and nobody is thinking about Nigeria ."

๐Ÿ“"You don't have to be the one to go there to change anything."

๐Ÿšฉ"Let those under the hammer start the revolution."

๐Ÿ™Š"This post is gonna anger a lot of persons, but they have to read it anyway."

*Analogy of OPPRESSORS & FOOLISH CITIZENS.
*(A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors):

๐Ÿ™Š During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one.

๐ŸšฉThe chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground.

๐ŸšฉThe naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & helpless creature.

๐ŸšฉThe poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.

๐Ÿ“Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership.

๐ŸšฉHe said, "This chicken represents the people".

๐Ÿšฉ"You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them".

๐Ÿšฉ"If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you".

๐Ÿšฉ"They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place."

๐Ÿ˜‡ Breath taking, isn't it ?

๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚ Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media.

๐ŸšฉTake a look at those they call their heroes.
๐ŸšฉThey are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is.
๐ŸšฉThey are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments.

๐Ÿ™ˆDid you see the numbers of people that throng to their houses during Christmas and festive periods to go and collect peanuts?

๐Ÿ™‰Did you see the crowd that welcome them from their disgraceful sorjouns?

๐Ÿ“ฃDid you see how these oppressors are worshipped like GOD?

๐ŸšฉYour guess is as good as mine. And the likes of many others, we all know about.

๐Ÿ“Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! ๐Ÿ™‰

Pass to all your contacts & let the oppressors know that we know.

NOBODY IS IRREPLACEABLE.

UMU CHINEKE WELI NU NWAYO......

Na Who you be?
Ibu onye?
Creation of the Almighty, Nwa Chineke.

Me, Myself and I alone, ultimately destroys a man...

Why do human beings become swollen headed and assume an irreplaceable disposition when they think they are important or relevant?

What makes you think you are too important to be replaced? Mark you, only God is irreplaceable.

The Yoruba's thought that without Awolowo, the entire Yoruba race would be marginalized. Late Abacha arrogated too much power to himself. Other examples still abound in our immediate environment.

All these people had their own times. Power brokers of yore. Where are they today?
Whatever legacy did they leave behind? Good or Evil?

If by chance or opportunity you find yourself important to your followers, someone, your people, colleagues, community, ministry or even your State/Nation, don't feel too important in your disposition or irreplaceable.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN IN THAT POSITION BEFORE YOU.

When you assume that nothing can be done without you, when you begin to query why some things are done without you, when you begin to think that every other person is less important than you, then just remember that you are climbing the ladder of self destruction.

MY FATHER USED TO TELL ME THAT: We call you because we see you, when we look for and don't see you, we shall call another person.

What are we saddled with that we are so puffed up?
Ever before we got to this Earth life has been going on; ever since we got here the activities of life has continued unabated and when we depart those left behind will continue to live the life.

Stop thinking you are too important. You are just a mere mortal. Whatever purpose you are serving today, it is not limited to you alone, there is always another option.

If God is using you for a purpose, don't over price yourself, that same God may decide to erase your entire story.

Remember that, You are just a pencil in hands of God and HE is currently using you to write what He wants, once you begin to write wrong messages, that same God will use another person as an eraser and you shall be cleaned off the board.

BE CAREFUL IS A WORD OF ADVICE FROM THE WISE.

GOOD DAY FRIENDS.

I enjoin all my friends family and compatriots to be very careful as we resume our daily activities at the relaxation of lockdown. We can't come this far to go back fast...

4th May is not the expiration date for the Covid-19 pandemic, you can still contract it, so think twice before you make the decision of going out and if you finally decide to go out please be more careful than you have been.

Spanish flu of 1918 killed over 50million persons reason been that when the isolation was relaxed then, people rushed into the street to begin their normal life without been mindful of the fact that the flu was still around and within the first three weeks of the relaxation, over 35million persons lost their lives. This has also been the experience of Ghana next door.

Let's not give room for history to repeat itself...
While countries like America, Italy and China were in lockdown, their governments were busy disinfecting the streets of their nations. While Nigerians were on lockdown, our government were struggling to grapple with how to get clear and proactive approach to curb or curtail the pandemic amid dilapited and rundown infrastrural facilities that have been neglected over the years with no radical approach but haphazard and fire brigades measures where there aren't functional fire trucks to quench the bush fire already ignited by COVID-19. The haphazard disinfection measures put in place to checkmate the spread of the virus were not encompassing. Now America, Italy, China are relaxing their lock down, our governments at various levels are also relaxing ours. The citizens of the above nations will go into well disinfected streets while we are carelessly rushing into infected streets in our infected cities of Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc. Waiting to export same as soon as inter city movements are relaxed We must think twice.

America, China and other nations began to think of relaxing their lockdown when they started experiencing low record of Coronavirus cases. Can we say the same? when we are still experiencing massive increase of the virus cases. Note that Nigeria does not have the capacity to test massively yet.
If goverment has capitulated to pressure to relax lockdown for economic reasons, we on our part should apply wisdom in taking our personal decision. Be guided, think twice, stay home and stay safe. If you must go out be extra careful please. Those who will tell the story of this Coronavirus pandemic are those that took painstaking measures to stay safe, you can choose to be one of us. Shalom.

A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER LOOMS IN THE LAND..........

THIS NIGERIA MUST DIE FOR TRUE NIGERIA TO RISE.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State made a startling but sobering declaration recently. In paraphrase, the governor declared that the only thread holding Nigeria together is the indecision or prevarication of the South south states of the Niger Delta zone over where to belong. According to him, any day the zone decides to join forces with the pro-Biafra protagonists of the Southeast zone, the current Nigeria will cease to exist. In the mind of the newly reborn vocal governor, the life of the present Nigeria hangs in the balance awaiting the final decision of the south south states. The governor went on to lament the fact that in a nation with about 300 ethnicities, only one ethnic group, the Fulani, controls all the security, political and economic forces available. For him, this will ultimately determine what will tilt the balance on whether Nigeria survives or not.
There is no faulting Governor Okowa's analysis in this regard. The final decision of the Niger Delta region is crucial towards solving the grave problem of the Nigerian nation. They have the power to tilt the balance and save our nation that is on a perpetual life support. If the people of the zone continue to play their wartime and post-civil war subservient role to the Fulani oligarchs, Nigeria will die eventually but quite slowly. But if they rise and assert their God-given right as equal citizens of Nigeria and not continue to present themselves as slaves to any other region or ethnic group in Nigeria, then they will be respected and our nation will survive. Currently the minerals underneath their feet are being taken as b***y by the oligarchs. They have endured this pillaging for more than fifty years now. If they wish to continue enjoying being pillaged by the conquering oligarchs, let them continue with their indecision. This is most painful as Governor Okowa lamented because while the minerals of the Niger Delta are being carted away and employed in the development and urbanization of western and northern cities, the south south zone is littered with primitive villages that have no hope of seeing any glimmer of civilization until the turn of the fourth millennium. If this is not enough incentive for the south south zone to call off their indecision, then their fate with that of the entire nation of Nigeria is forever sealed and hopeless. While the minerals of Niger Delta are being "officially" exploited for "common good" of the "the nation" the precious minerals of the north like gold, diamond, uranium, platinum etc, that have the capacity to turn the entire economy of Nigeria around are tactically left in the hands of a few prominent members among the oligarchs who have become international millionaires mining them. If this type of information does not help those in the south south zone make up their minds on where they should belong; if they cannot realize that those they serve as slaves in Nigeria are even their worst enemies, then nobody should weep for them because they are forever doomed.
But back to Governor Okowa's declaration. The real danger that spells imminent death for the present Nigeria is the concentration of all security apparatuses in the hands of one ethnic group. This is the clear and present danger for the nation of Nigeria. If this concentration had been in the hands of any other ethnic group besides the Fulani, it could be treated as benign. But for it to be in the hand of the Fulanis with all their history of invasion and conquest in Nigeria, the matter is far more serious than ordinary Nigerians are willing to concede. The only reason why an ethnic group would seize all the security powers of a multiethnic country like Nigeria is because they are planning a conquest. They see war in the horizon. And this is what will kill the present Nigeria sooner than any one of us could imagine. Any day the Fulani that have all the powers in present-day Nigeria decide to use it according to their customary way of invasion and conquest, Nigeria will exist no more. If Nigerian politicians cannot find ways to decentralize and redistribute Nigerian security apparatuses, we can as well begin a requiem for this hobbled and beleaguered nation of ours. The current Nigeria of power-concentration in the hands of one ethnic group, of election manipulation to perpetuate incompetence in power, of economic blockade and strangulation of one section of the country, of political marginalization of nearly one half of the nation, of b***y-taking fifty years after the civil war, etc, etc, must die and die soonest for a new Nigeria to rise.
