Governor Dr. Alex Otti, OFR has signed into law the Abia State Centre for the Rehabilitation of Survivors of R**e, Defilement, Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking Bill 2026.

This milestone was achieved through the collective efforts of the House of Assembly, Her Excellency Mrs. Priscilla Otti, and the tireless advocacy of the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Abia Diaspora Commission, Rev. Amb. Dr. Annie Onu.

This law provides hope, justice, and rehabilitation for survivors, while strengthening Abia’s global image as a state committed to protecting human dignity. Together, at home and abroad, we stand united against gender‑based violence.

Dear Esteemed Friends and Distinguished Abians in the Diaspora,

I warmly welcome you to the month of March.

I give thanks to God Almighty for His enduring grace and abundant mercies that have sustained us and granted us the privilege of witnessing a new month. His faithfulness continues to be our anchor, and for this, we remain profoundly grateful.

March comes with renewed opportunities for growth, purposeful engagement, giant strides in innovation, and positive advancement in all our endeavours. It is a season to build stronger connections, deepen our commitments, and pursue excellence with courage and clarity.
