๐Ÿ’ฅ So Benjamin Kalu stood up and announced โ‚ฆ1 BILLION support for 2,000 small businesses in Abia State,

and suddenly, all of you went blind.

Mute.

Deaf.

No data.

No keyboard.

No analysis.

But the moment governorship is mentioned, even without declaration,

you people start running around like people whose brain cells expired overnight.

You didnโ€™t see โ‚ฆ1 billion for Abia people.

You didnโ€™t see empowerment.

You didnโ€™t see economic support.

You didnโ€™t see jobs, relief, impact.

But you saw governorship that nobody declared for.

That alone tells us where your sickness is coming from.

Abia governorship is not a family inheritance.

It is not reserved for one person.

It is not an appointment.

It will be contested, today, tomorrow, 2027,

and beyond, whether you like it or not.

Talking about governance, leadership, or the future of Abia is not a crime.

It is politics.

It is democracy.

It is constitutional.

So stop this selective blindness.

Stop pretending you care about Abia when all you care about is protecting one seat.

If โ‚ฆ1 billion intervention doesnโ€™t move you, but mere political conversation gives you hypertension, then the problem is not Rep. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, the problem is your fear.

Ben is working.

Ben is empowering.

Ben is speaking.

Ben is relevant.

Drag all you want,
impact doesnโ€™t need your permission.

The Abia APC Renaissance Group has taken note, with deep concern and utter disappointment, of the unwarranted insults and political vitriol emanating from the office of Governor Alex Otti against Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK).

We ask plainly: since when did political loyalty become a crime in Abia State? Or has the governor decreed that only those who bow to his political will are entitled to participate in governance and public discourse? Must every Abian align politically with Governor Otti or be branded an enemy of the state?

The governor must be reminded, if he has conveniently forgotten, that the so-called Obi Wave, which he now dismisses with arrogance, is the very political accident that carried him into office. That wave has long since receded. Abia politics has moved on, and so have the people.

During this recent festive period, Abians from across the globe returned home with high expectations, only to be greeted by disappointment. Despite loud claims of โ‚ฆ82 billion spent on repaires of public schools, what they saw were recycled, repainted, and rebranded infrastructures, projects largely executed by previous administrations. No bold, transformative, or signature project exists to justify such astronomical figures.

Even more alarming is the revelation that the Otti administration allegedly spends โ‚ฆ540 million every single month on social media propaganda, an obscene amount that could have been deployed to fix roads, equip hospitals, improve schools, or stimulate local economies. Governance has been reduced to hashtags, influencers, and digital noise, while real development suffers.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has spoken the hard truth, and it has clearly struck a nerve. APC is steadily reclaiming Abia State, offering the people a credible, people-focused, and results-driven alternative, one anchored on experience, competence, and genuine dividends of democracy, not media deception.

No amount of propaganda, intimidation, or political arrogance can stop the inevitable. Abia is ready. APC is ready. 2027 is coming

๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ The Abia APC Renaissance Group sincerely appreciates His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving and facilitating the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) in the ex*****on of critical power infrastructure projects in Abia State.

We are particularly grateful for the ongoing construction of a 1ร—7.5MVA, 33/11kV Injection Substation, 1km of 33kV line, 1.2km of 11kV line, 2km of 0.415kV low-tension line, and the installation of two (2Nos) 300kVA, 11/0.415kV distribution transformers in Umuahia, our dear state capital.

This strategic intervention will significantly improve electricity supply, particularly in Abia North, alleviate long-standing power shortages, and enhance socio-economic activities across the region.

We are confident that this laudable project will boost productivity, empower businesses, create opportunities for our people, and contribute meaningfully to both state and national development.
Once again, we extend our profound gratitude to Mr. President for his continued attention to the infrastructural needs of Abia State and the South East.

God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
God bless Abia State.

The attention of the Abia State All Progressives Congress (APC) Renaissance Group has been drawn to a mischievous publication anchored around a fictitious name, Dr. Samuel Onwuka, and a so-called Concerned Abia APC Group. The misleading publication by the faceless group is obviously the handiwork of political detractors who feel threatened by the steady rise and growing influence of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and a distinguished son of Abia State.

We are not unaware that, as the popular saying goes, โ€œthe Ukwa fruit does not fall far from the tree.โ€ Those behind the faceless attack are the same elements who have consistently felt uncomfortable with the positive transformation and visibility that Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has brought to the APC in Abia State and the entire South East region. They are disturbed by his increasing relevance both at the national level and within the partyโ€™s hierarchy, as well as his close working relationship with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Since his inauguration as Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has remained a consistent and loyal supporter of President Tinubuโ€™s administration. He has demonstrated uncommon leadership by calling on the people of the South East, especially his Igbo brothers and sisters, to rally around the Presidentโ€™s efforts aimed at revamping Nigeriaโ€™s economy, encouraging national unity, and restoring confidence in government institutions. His message has always been one of cooperation, inclusion, and partnership, values that are essential for meaningful development in our region.

One of the most notable demonstrations of his commitment to peace and progress is his Peace in the South East Project (PISE-P), a visionary initiative designed to address the root causes of insecurity and disunity in the region. Through this platform, Rt. Hon. Kalu has gathered leaders, stakeholders, traditional rulers, clergy, youth groups, and opinion leaders from across the South East and beyond to dialogue on sustainable peace. The project promotes a non kinetic approach to peacebuilding, focusing on dialogue, empowerment, and reconciliation rather than violence and confrontation.

Importantly, the Peace in the South East Project (PISE P) is complemented by his work with the Renewed Hope Partners, a President Tinubu support group that Rt. Hon. Kalu has continued to strengthen. Through this platform, he has taken the gospel of the Presidentโ€™s achievements to the grassroots, enlightening citizens on the achievements of President Tinubu, the effectiveness of his policies and mobilizing support for APC and Mr. President across communities. The initiative has also served as a tool to challenge the false narratives and propaganda being sponsored against the President by detractors, including the Abia State Government and other political opponents who seek to undermine the achievements of the APC administration.

The PISE-P initiative, together with the Renewed Hope Partners, has received widespread commendation from diverse quarters, which ultimately makes the APC brand popular in the South-East, encouraging massive defection of Igbo political gladiators to the APC. Therefore, the Deputy Speaker has always had genuine desire to connect the South East fully to the center, under President Tinubu through collaboration, unity, and responsible leadership.

Under Rt. Hon. Kaluโ€™s leadership, the Abia APC has witnessed unprecedented visibility and acceptance. His commitment to the ideals of the APC and his continuous engagement with federal authorities have led to the attraction of several federal projects and interventions to his constituency and other parts of the South East. His influence in Abuja has opened new channels for development, ensuring that the region is not left behind in the Presidentโ€™s Renewed Hope Agenda.

For the first time in many years, Abia APC members can proudly identify with a national leader who commands both respect and results. Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has become a bridge between the South East and the center, bringing hopeful conversations, understanding, and mutual respect between our region and the Federal Government. His political maturity, diplomacy, and humility have earned him admiration within and outside the party.

We, the leaders and members of the Renaissance Group of the Progressives Congress in Abia State, therefore, reaffirm our total loyalty and support to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu. We stand firmly with him as he continues to promote the progressive ideals of our great party and champion the cause of peace, unity, and development in the South East.

We also use this opportunity to caution those hiding behind fake identities and pseudo organizations to desist from acts of blackmail and misinformation. It is unfortunate that some individuals, driven by envy and political frustration, would rather sow seeds of discord instead of supporting the tremendous progress being made under the leadership of the Deputy Speaker.

As a responsible political family, the Abia APC will not be distracted by the noise of detractors. Our focus remains on strengthening the party, deepening its grassroots structures, and ensuring that Abia APC takes over Abia Government House and continues to retain its rightful place at the center of national politics.

We call on all genuine members of the Abia APC ,Members of Renaissance Support Group and the wider South East political community to unite behind Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu and support his ongoing efforts to reposition our region for peace, prosperity, and inclusion in national governance. The Deputy Speaker represents the new face of leadership, one anchored on dialogue, performance, and loyalty to both the party and the people.

Together, we shall continue to advance the vision of a stronger Abia and a more united South East under the leadership of the APC.

Signed
Abia APC Renaissance Group

๐Ÿ’ฅThe attention of ๐€๐›๐ข๐š ๐€๐๐‚ ๐‘๐ž๐ง๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ has been drawn to fresh reports indicating that Governor Alex Otti has secretly reached out to the Oba of Lagos, seeking intervention and political rescue amidst growing tensions in Abiaโ€™s political landscape.

In recent weeks, Governor Otti has publicly denied any association with the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that he has seen nothing in the party that could possibly attract him. During his last radio programme with his carefully selected media aides, he boasted that anyone expecting to see him join the APC would have to wait forever.

However, despite such public posturing, credible intelligence suggests a different reality. The Governor, who believes the Oba of Lagos owes him a political favor, has reportedly reached out to the monarch to intercede with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his behalf. This desperate move comes at a time when APC in Abia is gaining momentum, leaving the Governor politically vulnerable and increasingly isolated.

It is, therefore, both ironic and shameful that after months of attacking the President and maligning key APC figures from the South East, Governor Otti now seeks the same partyโ€™s help through backdoor diplomacy.

We are not surprised. Otti has consistently thrived on deceit, propaganda, and political hypocrisy. To his aides, he reportedly brags that no matter how much he insults the President or ridicules the APC, he can always run to the Oba of Lagos to clean his slate.

The Abia APC Renaissance Group wishes to remind the Governor that leadership built on arrogance, deceit, and double-speak cannot endure. The people of Abia are now wiser and will no longer be deceived by theatrics designed to mask failure and desperation.

Abia deserves transparency, accountability, and honest leadership not a Governor who says one thing in public and does the exact opposite in secret.

When Governor Otti was voted into power, most people expected phenomenal transformation within his first term, having contested twice before finally winning the election in 2023 every political watcher thought he came prepared,

The general conclusion among many was that the Governor had a robust blueprint on how to resuscitate Abia State, given his background; first, as an economist, and secondly, as a seasoned banker. Moreover, the initial name dropping of technocrats purported to be associated with his government, such as Okonjo Iweala, Aruma Otteh, Ndubuisi Ekekwe, and Johnson Chukwu falsely gave the impression that Abia had entered an era of strategic planning and ex*****on. Unfortunately, we later discovered that these names were mostly for validation and photo ops.

It is on record that Abia is blessed with some of the best human capital in the South East.

We saw some of these names participating in retreats, seminars, and interactive sessions with Abians in the diaspora before and after the swearing-in of the Governor. This gave a semblance of structured planning and organized programs to relaunch Abia among the comity of states ready for 21st-century development challenges.

After 28 months of assuming governance, many have seen hope dashed and expectations evaporated. Many had hoped that the government would have begun a structured revival of critical sectors such as education, health, trade and investment, transport, and industrialization

Unfortunately, while other states are opening new factories; like the Stallion Motors Assembly Plant in Enugu or the Orashi Gas City in Oguta, Imo State etc, Abia State is busy acting skits, shouting loud on social media about high performing Otti without any major substance or impact in real term performance. It is alleged the state spends about N530m monthly on media and propaganda. The focus has remained on issues like recoating of old roads, repainting of roofs, incosistency in salary payments, endless worker's verification exercises, forfeited pensions, and gratuities, which continue to dominate the indices of growth and development.

Until last year, many had believed that opposition in Abia would have died a natural death due to the social media overhype surrounding government exploits, especially on the proposed:

However, after waiting in vain for these proposed and highly advertised and celebrated projects to materialize, 29 months after, questions have began to arise about the actual locations and status of these projects.

Today, Abians have come to realize that what they ordered is not what they are being served. Considering the strides of sister states like Imo, Enugu, and Anambra, and given

These revelations especially on the N72billion controversy over repairs of public schools from January 2024 to June 2025 have emboldened the opposition in Abia to take on the current administration over corruption and poor performance. The goodwill the Government once enjoyed has eroded among civil servants, pensioners, and the general public, including Aba traders who now understand that prompt payment of salaries and pensions cannot be classified as an achievement when the government receives huge revenue of N38 billion monthly with a wage bill of only N7 billion.

Opposition is strengthened and being taken seriously by Abians, the number is growing daily, especially with the realization that almost all of the promises of (New Abia ) made during the campaign have been abandoned. Most disturbing is the administration of local government funds, which has already led to the revolt of councillors at Osisioma Local Government and the subsequent resignation of the council leader ,again thats where the power of opposition weighed in and today the welfare and salaries of the councillors have been upgraded by the governor, even though it is an aberration that while President Tinubu have been fighting for and preaching local government autonomy Governor Otti, defiantly sabotaged Mr Presidents efforts at realizing a working LG system.

Many now believe that the current administration is neither ready nor interested in re-election come 2027, judging by its attitude towards those who supported its emergence in 2023 and the unending crisis in their party .

Today, in Abia, the entire opposition is uniting and congregating to peacefully vote out the present government.

The government that once claimed to be the messiah of Abia has suddenly realized that it has lost grip and can be voted out by the same Abians that hailed them. This fear has now birthed threats, intimidation, and talks of writing wills and threats of opposition and would contenders being killed which is being seen as recipe for crisis and anarchy coming from a Government.

A government that truly enjoys the confidence of the majority, including civil servants and pensioners; will not be this jittery about an election that is still many months away.

As predicted, the cost of the project was not made public. We have also noticed that Abia state Government have seen payment of compensation to those affected by the road reconstruction as a veritable tool for fraud. We demand transparency in that regards.

A government sure of its stewardship should be eager to showcase its achievements as the basis for re-election, not resort to threats and fear tactics.

Abia State is now a low-hanging fruit for the opposition, led by the Abia APC. Governor Otti is on the path to being a one-term Governor. Former Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State followed a similar pattern and met the same fate before luck smiled on him for second tenure after initial disruptions.

A one-term Governor is loading in Abia.

A new dawn is possible, prophecy is becoming true.

Abians will soon witnesss a government high on empathy and performance.

*We the ๐€๐›๐ข๐š ๐€๐๐‚ ๐‘๐ž๐ง๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ wishes to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support and commitment to the infrastructural development of Abia State, particularly for approving the reconstruction of the remaining portion of the Umuahia Ikot Ekpene Road, which covers 25 kilometers, not 27 kilometers as earlier reported by Abia government.

*Recall that the project was stalled all these years due to funding and compensation issues but with the removal of fuel subsidy, funds are now available to tackle projects that were considered too large to be handled by state governors in the past.

*While we applaud the President for rising above political considerations prioritising the welfare of Abians by constantly approving federal roads for reconstruction by the state government, with the understanding that the Federal Government will reimburse the funds, it is disturbing that the strategy hurts his performance rating and public perception but unarguably reflects a leader guided by conscience rather than political applause.

*To political observers and supporters of the President, this approach seem politically strange and even unpopular, as it does little to boost the Presidentโ€™s political capital.

*The Umuahia Ikot Ekpene road becomes the seventh federal project undertaken by the Abia State Government on behalf of the Federal Government, yet none has been attributed to President Tinubu.

* However, as commendable as the collaboration is, the ๐€๐›๐ข๐š ๐€๐๐‚ ๐‘๐ž๐ง๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ still maintain and we are sure others do, that this style of project ex*****on has not been properly communicated to help the Presidentโ€™s public perception, especially given that he continues to take the heat for the adverse effects of subsidy removal, while governors across the country receive praise for using those funds. It raises questions about whether the Presidentโ€™s aides are even listening to public sentiment. That said, transparency must not be sacrificed.

*Previous federal projects handled by the Abia State Government have been clouded by allegations of overpricing and secrecy, with little or no public acknowledgment of the Federal Governmentโ€™s role. This time around, we sincerely hope that the Otti led administration will demonstrate accountability by publicly declaring the cost of the 49-kilometer stretch, of which 24-kilometers have already been rehabilitated, leaving only 25-kilometers to be completed.

*The trend of inconsistent figures, such as the 35-kilometers Ohafia Arochukwu road which the Governor announced as 41-kilometers and his Works Commissioner later said was 44- kilometers, must not repeat itself here.

* Similarly, the Port Harcourt Road in Aba, dubiously inflated to N36.5 billion, despite credible evidence that another competent contractor offered a bid of N9 Billion, remains a troubling reference point.

*Another source of concern is the opaque handling of compensation payments to affected property owners around the proposed site for the Abia airport Nsulu. Whereby the government celebrates it has paid off adequate compensation to land owners, the people still protest that nothing has been paid them. The entire process has lacked transparency, denying the public the opportunity to assess fairness and accountability.

*The Omenuko Bridge project also deviated from the Federal Governmentโ€™s approved design, a dual carriage bridge with a 24 meter width, yet what was built in Abia is far smaller.

*With these precedents in mind, Abians now expect the Governor to come clean and set a new tone of openness in handling this particular federal project.

The Governor should:
1) Withdraw the previously stated 27 kilometers and confirm that the actual length is 25 kilometers.

2) Publicly announce the total project cost and the cost per kilometer at the flag off ceremony on proposed 25th of October.

3) Disclose the compensation framework, including total funds allocated and specific amounts to be paid to displaced families.

4) State the project duration and completion timeline, ensuring that the contract was awarded through a competitive and transparent bidding process to guarantee value for money.

5) The Federal Ministry of Works should also monitor the project closely to ensure that no alterations are made to the approved design or specifications.

*In all, while we commend the Federal Governmentโ€™s goodwill, Abians are watching closely.

*The era of secrecy is over as the people are now aware, ready to scrutinise and willing to participate in governance by demanding openness, accountability, and sincerity of purpose.

Signed:
