ORIGIN OF INTERNATIONAL FIREFIGHTER'S DAY 🔥👩‍🚒🚒🧯

Let me tell you the origin of International Firefighters' Day.
This global day of recognition was born out of a tragic event known as the Linton bushfire in Australia on December 2, 1998.

On that day, a fast-moving bushfire broke out due to extreme heat and dry weather conditions.
Volunteer firefighters were immediately called to respond to protect lives, property, and their community.

But as they battled the fire, something unexpected happened.
The wind suddenly changed direction, causing the fire to intensify and spread rapidly.
What was once being controlled quickly became dangerous and unpredictable.

In the middle of this, a fire truck carrying firefighters was overtaken by the flames.
Sadly, five brave firefighters lost their lives in the line of duty while trying to save others.

😭😭😭
This heartbreaking incident shook the world.
It revealed the true risks firefighters face, not just from fire, but from how quickly situations can change.

In response, firefighters around the world came together and chose May 4th as International Firefighters' Day.

THAT IS THE DAY SET ASIDE TO:

- Honor those who have fallen
- Appreciate those still serving
- And remind us all of the importance of fire safety
